Well, to keep this one alive, I just watched The Exorcist yesterday, (about time, too, I had it since Christmas) and with the review up, there's another one off my list. Not that anyone minded, but I still finished it.

I finally saw this biggie:
THE SEVENTH SEAL (1957)
Ingmar Bergman's classic about a knight (Max Von Sydow) returning from The Crusades and doubting his faith. He encounters Death and challenges him to a game of chess all the while questioning God and the meaning of it all. Haven't seen a film this thought provoking in a long time. Beautifully filmed in B & W.
7.5/10

I just watched War Games for the first time (1983). I've heard the film mentioned a few times recently and when I said I hadn't seen the movie people would say things like "YOU HAVEN'T SEEN WAR GAMES!!! YOU HAVE TO SEE IT"
So I Netflixed it.
Great movie - not as dated as I thought. Matthew Broderick even sports a hair cut most kids are wearing today (80s fashion is back I guess). And even though the technology is old, the themes are not.
9/10 for me (marks off for some cheese and an over-the-top General).

The only thing I really remember about WARGAMES is the computer's voice: "Would-you-like-to-play-a-game?"

Well, I watched another film worthy of the movie police...
Deliverance.
It was scary!
The direction was amazing though. You could really tell it was Jon Voight, etc. really on the river. Read this on IMDB:
To minimize costs, the production wasn't insured -- and the actors did their own stunts. (For instance, Jon Voight actually climbed the cliff.)
10/10 - a classic for sure.

I guess I'll make it official, even though I announced it somewhere else two weeks ago:
I finally saw The Godfather.
