Pearl Harbor was in no way a bad movie, but it's also far from being a good one. In no way was it a must-see.
Anyway, finally unburdening myself, I HAVE FINALLY SEEN RAIN MAN! One of the greatest movies I had ever seen, by the way. Dustin Hoffman's performance was nothing short of brilliant.

Yeah. Rain Man is one of the funniest. Ray reminds me of me. My 2nd fav movie period.

Alas, I have FINALLY seen Forrest Gump... Another film to add to the list of great movies that were released in 1994. Damn, that was a great year for movies, was it not?

Indeed, Forrest Gump was/is an excellent film. I did like The Shawshank Redemption too. (Both were nominated for Best Picture that year) I can't remember the other 3 pictures nominated though in 94.

Four Weddings and a Funeral, Quiz Show, and of course, Pulp Fiction.

From these Oscar-nominated titles I was a bit disappointed with Four Weddings (though it's not bad), still haven't seen Quiz Show (what do you think of it, folks?), and loved all the others. A very good year for the movies, 1994!

QUIZ SHOW was good, but one viewing was enough for me. I'd probably watch FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL a second time before QS. But neither is a "Must add it to your DVD collection right now!" kind of movie to me. While the other three nominees from '94 definitely are.

Just saw for the first time Saving Private Ryan, my new favorite war movie (not war PERIOD movie, that would be Schindler's List). Great performances, and some great directorial techniques by Spielberg. I don't know why I didn't see that movie sooner, but now I'm not so behind.

Just saw for the first time Saving Private Ryan, my new favorite war movie. Well, I loved Saving Private Ryan when I saw it for the first time! The action sequences at the beginning and end of the movie left me literally breathless! The second time around I was a bit bothered by the flag-waving at the very end, but was I moved again? Hell, I was! One of my favourite war movies, too. Liked it much better than Schindler's List, actually.

Dances With Wolves
Okay, I HAVE seen this one before, except
1. It was still in theaters last time I saw it. That would make me around 4 or 5 years old.
2. Do you know any 4 or 5 year olds that will sit through a 4-hour war epic when there are no cartoons in it? Because I wasn't that 4 or 5-year-old. I fell asleep.
Well, having seen it today, for the first time since I've been old enough to appreciate it, Dances With Wolves has now found a place on my top 10 of all time. Excellent film.

Well, I fell asleep the first time I watched Dances With Wolves when I was 20 & a second time when I watched the Extended Cut. ;D After a good 8 cups of coffee, I decided to re-watch the Extended Cut. Not a bad movie at all, in fact after all that coffee, I was disappointed when it was over.

The Green Mile
Shocker, huh? Haven't seen this until two days ago. Well, I thought it was excellent.

Jeez, smitty! At this rate, the Movie Police are just going to set up permanent residence at your house. RAIN MAN, FORREST GUMP, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, THE GREEN MILE. What other skeletons you got in that movie closet?

Yeah, so I haven't seen Lawrence of Arabia.
Nah, that's a joke. Great film.
I haven't gotten around to see The Shawshank Redemption, though. I saw Green Mile and liked Darabont's adaptation, but I just haven't yet watched The Shawshank Redemption.
