LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Seven" director David Fincher is carving out room in his schedule for "Torso," a thriller about federal agent Eliot Ness' exploits after his Al Capone days.
The Paramount Pictures project is based on a graphic novel written by Brian Michael Bendis and Marc Andrey-ko, and drawn by Bendis in the late 1990s.
"Torso" tells the relatively unknown story of Ness' move to Cleveland to become the city's public safety officer. Torsos began appearing in the river, and Ness received notes taunting him to catch the killer. Ness, who had no experience in police work, put together a team of ex-officers to apprehend the serial murderer.
Fincher's work on the hit thriller "Seven" makes him something of an expert on the serial killer underworld. Additionally, he is shooting "Zodiac," the Jake Gyllenhaal vehicle about the 1970s San Francisco serial killer. His other credits include "Fight Club."
The graphic novel is being adapted by Ehren Kruger, whose credits include "The Ring" and "The Ring Two," "The Skeleton Key" and "Arlington Road."

Sounds interesting...

I was gonna be the Zodiac killer for Halloween one year, but I didn't get my costume finished (and then had to work late).
Rumors exist that the Unabomber and Zodiac killer are the same person--which are beyond interesting. You know they both drove the same car in the 70's...?
Both those films sound interesting.
But, wasn't Elliot Ness a cop when hunting Capone? How could he have no previous police work, then?

Um, yeah, they better get on that preservation of Toy Story right away!! Absolutely. Just because it's newer doesn't mean it shouldn't be preserved. As the first full length all CGI feature it's a historical movie. But, wasn't Elliot Ness a cop when hunting Capone? How could he have no previous police work, then? I think he was actually a treasury agent.

That IS interesting... I'll have to study up on that some more. Although I don't know if I should spend any more time than I already do reading about serial killers.

That IS interesting... I'll have to study up on that some more. Although I don't know if I should spend any more time than I already do reading about serial killers. Ted Kaczynski made some sort of deal admitting to the Unabomber stuff in which pursuing the possibility that he was the Zodiac was thrown out. Here's what I know about the links: --The same year the Zodiac ceased killing, the Unabombing started. --Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber, has a PhD in mathematics, the Zodiac Killer layed out his murders mathematically (over a map), in a sort of graph (the depth to this, I don't recall, nor do I remember the equations.) --Drove the same car --Ted Kaczynski was supposed to have lived in the same area as the Zodiac in the 70's. --The last letter the Zodiac sent contained a sentence proclaiming that, "he was going to stop shooting people, he was going to move on to explosives." Sure that's circumstantial, but hell, that's damn interesting.

Yes, it is. Could be coincidence, or not.
