Hey, I just felt like bragging that the wife and I are finally getting cable TV:
Digital Cable with over 100 channels HBO That Start/Stop/Pause whenever you want live TV thing.
And the best part--$30 a month for a YEAR.
I can finally take down the ghetto TV antenna I have taped to the side of my entertainment center!! Whooo! I can't wait for next tuesday!! (when it's installed) USA! USA! USA! (do in Homer Simpson's voice)

But in the massive flood of shit and sheer stupidity there are some good cinema channels with rare flicks and info channels like BBC News .

The envy: rises, rises, RISES... falls. I'm a good guy, after all. Enjoy it, Quorth.

The only thing I'm really happy about is having the History Channel again. Most of the rest of that stuff I never watch, but free HBO? I think I may enjoy that.
I just felt like calling attention to myself in the most ridiculous way possible.
.... heeeyyyyy wait a second.... if so many of you guys don't watch "TV shows," how come I often see you all purchasing the DVD sets of "TV shows" in the "Latest DVD Purchase" thread....? Quorthon senses conspiracy...

True, there's tons of reality show crap on tv, but there's other stuff too. HBO for instance, has some really good series, ie: THE SOPRANOS, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, DEADWOOD, etc. Some other series we watch: LOST, THE SIMPSONS, FAMILY GUY, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (Not just a "chick show"), and our lone reality show, SURVIVOR. Sorry, but we're hooked on it. But yeah, overall, our tv is mainly used to watch movies, either on DVD or cable.

Great shows on there. It used to be Discovery-History-TLC for me, but then TLC turned into the just-for-women-interior-decorating channel. So JFWIDC I guess. Now it's History-National Geographic-Discovery. It's funny, I've been watching the NG channel for only about 2 years and in that time it grew (in scope and quality) as much as the Discovery Channel did in 8!

Oh, I'm pretty good at History--big fan of Astronomy, too. In fact Spacer, you'd be surprised how often Poland shows up on the History Channel.
.... wait....
World War II....
...Poland...
...that mustache-guy...
80% of the History Channel is about WWII...
Then again, maybe you wouldn't be all that surprised...

History Channel isn't about WWII anymore!!!!! Maybe when they first started but I couldn't watch it if that were true now.
That is all I gotta say about that.

My old roomate in college called it "Furorvision."
I like the UFO shows and Histories Mysteries. That shows is awesome.
