Oh, I'm pretty good at History--big fan of Astronomy, too. In fact Spacer, you'd be surprised how often Poland shows up on the History Channel. I love Astronomy and Astronautics. I'm a sucker for news in that field. I often visit space.com to get astro news, I'm getting on-line Astronomy newsletters from Witchita Ka. I bought that monthly once but it was so expensive in Poland that I had to give it up. Now I have so many sources from the net that I don't really need it in paper. Though it still would be pleasent if I had it aftter all. As I learn about you we're going to look more and more alike. No waiting, man ;D My grandfather was fighting Germans during it. Do you mean Charlie Chaplin? ;D ;D ;D By the way, have you watched that classic comedy of his ? Well, I dunno... But a lot of is. Still I am

No waiting, man ;D My grandfather was fighting Germans during it. My great-grandfather fought against everybody else--he was in the German military under the Kaiser in WWI. I'm afraid I've seen very little Chaplin stuff. Mostly shown to us by a teacher in my last college. We also watched some Buster Keaton stuff.

My great-grandfather fought against everybody else--he was in the German military under the Kaiser in WWI. Well, my grandfather fought against Germans but in WWII. Germany was the traditional enemy of Poles throughout our whole 1000 years history. They invaded Poland very frequently. Poles did it only once. First battle recorded in history as far as 972 AD. (Cedynia first German invasion - but they were ambushed and crushed) By the way, it may seem strange to you but your great-granddad might have fought arm in arm with Poles. Our country was occupied then and Poles fought on both sides in three armies.
I'm afraid I've seen very little Chaplin stuff. Mostly shown to us by a teacher in my last college. We also watched some Buster Keaton stuff. The comedy in which Chaplin is featuring Hitler is quite good. But my fave one is the one about factory work on assembly line. That was a real masterpiece.

Ahhhhhhh we got our massive quantity of tv channels yesterday. Within ten minutes of mindless searching I groaned and said: "aahhh there's nothing on..." to which the wife laughed.
Now channel surfing isn't merely a waste of time--it's complicated--we have the digital cable with several "On-Demand" channels and gigantic menus to surf through. I can watch some History Channel stuff whenever I want without commercials! And On-Demand Mythbusters! Whoo!! Hopefully, that free HBO will show some worthwhile shit pretty soon--because just cause I can watch Catwoman On-Demand doesn't mean I want to.
I found the list of free naked channels, but forgot where it was. Aww shucks!
And Spacer--I'll try to keep the German part of me from wanting to invade Poland--just for you and Bart. Hey, if I've kept away from Sauerkraut for this long, not invading someone should be easy!

Well, at least there'll be less rapes in the neigbourhood. ;D [/glow] And Spacer--I'll try to keep the German part of me from wanting to invade Poland--just for you and Bart. Hey, if I've kept away from Sauerkraut for this long, not invading someone should be easy! You really don't have to silence and hide your dark German part of personality, we sort of got used to all kinds of invasions and occupations so be our guest here I am easy to forgive and forget so don't worry. By the way, I had German girfriends and their ancestry didn't bother me. The same with you. ;D
