Ok, Folks, This whole, who will be bond is pissin me off, especially since I keep hearing Orlando Bloom mentioned.
Now I now Bond movies arent exactly about the acting, but to me Bloom isnt a great actor, or at least a proven one. I think his best work to date was as Joe Byrne in Ned Kelly, he was great in that.
Anyway, the point being, who do you guys think should be the new one, whether you watch them or not, someone you think would be a cool bond.
My personal choice is Johnny Depp. I think he'd be an awesome bond.

Orlando Bloom??!!!?? MUAAHAAAAAHAAAAHAAA!!!!!! No, really stop... ooh... (wipes away tear.) ;D When's that flavor of the month gonna go away? He has got to be the "luckiest" actor on the planet. BLACK HAWK DOWN, THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY, PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN and TROY! The guy's on a roll not seen since maybe Harrison Ford in the 80's or Tom Hanks in the 90's. Now, despite my uncontrollable laughter at the top of this post, I don't hate Bloom, I just don't think he's brought anything "special" to any of those roles. He was just kinda "there" filling the costumes. And I definitely don't think he deserves, or is right, for the role of Bond. With that slight frame, he looks like my wife could kick his ass, let alone some Bond villain. I never would've considered Johnny Depp, but he's proven time and time again that he can play pretty much any type of role. He's got the look, is the right age, can do action, accents, whatever. I say, if he's interested, sign 'em up!

A loud NO! to Orlando as James Bond! I'd rather George Lazenby returned to the role! But seriously: I hope Pierce stays for one more. The producers can't make up their minds but they didn't yet say 'Get out' to Brosnan. And hey - Quentin wants to make Bond 21 with Brosnan as Bond! Here's what he said: "I don't see that they have anything to lose at all," said the martial arts loving maestro. "They've got this gigantic franchise, they can't do anything wrong with it. Pierce Brosnan's only going to do one more movie for them, if that, so if he stayed on to do one more with me, let's - just this one year - go my way and do it a little differently. I won't do anything that will ruin the series." That would be a treat! And if QT's at helm he'd like to adapt "Casino Royale" - which seems to be another fine choice!

I read about Tarantino being interested in doing a Bond movie a while ago too. I think it's a great idea and I can't believe the producers haven't jumped on the idea!

With that slight frame, he looks like my wife could kick his ass, let alone some Bond villain. She at least a big woman, Heineken? ;D That's true though: Orlando's part in Troy was so fitting because he didn't have to pretend macho there. Now he's wearing the fake chest hair for the role of a blacksmith in Ridley Scott's Kingdom Of Heaven - and it's funny alright but I can live with that; to think that he would have to have fake charisma injected for a Bond role - that's true horror! And what about Colin Farrell - another candidate for the new Bond?

She at least a big woman, Heineken? ;D About 5'3''. Not exactly imposing, but she does kickbox! ;D And what about Colin Farrell - another candidate for the new Bond? Not my favorite choice, but again, better than Bloom.

I don't watch a lot of Bond, but I really can't see Orlando Bloom in the role. Johnny Depp would be an interesting choice though. I think he could do it. I've been reading about QT wanting to do a Bond movie too, that would be awesome. Maybe some of the big wigs will loosen up & give him a chance.

Bad news, Bond fans. Read a couple of days ago that Pierce Brosnan has decided not to return to the role at all. Rumours are that it might be a strategic ploy on his part to get more money for the next one, which was to be his last one anyway. So it looks like no Brosnan starring/Tarantino directed Bond movie. Another wierd rumour I heard is that the producers might do a prequel type of Bond film which would focus on a younger James Bond, so they very well could cast someone like Orlando Bloom. Bond: The College Years?

From Cinema Confidential:
The same day it was announced by Entertainment Weekly that Pierce Brosnan is retiring from the role of James Bond, Ain't it Cool News (http://www.aintitcool.com) claimed that three solid sources have informed them that Eric Bana ("The Hulk," "Troy") will be replacing Brosnan as the famous British spy.
Other names up for the James Bond role include Clive Owen, Hugh Jackman, and Orlando Bloom.
No official statement has been made by EON Productions or MGM so stay tuned as we wait for any kind of official confirmation.

I like the idea of Hugh Jackman playing bond. He has the right look/personality for it.

Eric Bana has already gone on record to say he would never play Bond and that all the rumours saying that he was signed are false.
