Brokeback MountainAlthough its not winning the Oscar was sort of a breath of fresh air for me, it was still one of the year's best, and one of the best of all time. I think in the long run, it's better for Brokeback Mountain that it DIDN'T win. Now, no one's gonna complain about it being overrated. 100% Nah, it just won every other award in existence, including the Nobel Peace Prize. I just watched some Beatles videos! They made me happy.

Good Night, and Good Luck. with director commentary--No secrert that I really dig this movie. And the commentary is very entertaining. George Clooney is a very intelligent individual, plus he's funny, sarcastic, dry, and self-depricating. A.

Agree about Corpses and Nightmare 4, disagree about Semetary 2 - this was far inferior to the good first film. I just saw: Woody Allen's Match Point. A fine film.

WEll, you all know my feelings on slow films, and I felt the first one was pretty slow. The tension and unease of the book just didn't seem to come across in the film, and many attempts at horror or suspense just fell flat. There's a reason why the tendon slicing is the one thing people remember about the first one: it's the best part of the film.

Fritz Lang's Metropolis--it was a film/concert playing at the student center. The music was pretty cool, going for that electronic vibe mixed in with acoustics and the film itself...well, it's simply amazing and quite possibly the best film of the silent era. A+

Jeff Dunham's Arguing with Myself-Fall-down hilarious stand-up special. A ventriloquist, in case you didn't know, and had many hilsrious characters. The ending riff on throwing his voice inside a strip club had me in stitches, and a white trash puppet he used was almost as funny. A recurring joke about a certain woman's beauty product found on a certain part of one of his puppets' anatomy at an airport check-point kept drawing huge laughs. See this one if you can. The Comedy Central Roast of Pam Anderson (Uncensored)-All the swearing intact didn't make this any less funny. Jeffery Ross stole the show with one of the best lines of the evening about Courtney Love, and her attempt at doing stand-up should be a highlight if there was one. Check out tomorrow for a huge movie update.

The Best Years of our Lives- A great film. I was cheering on Homer Parrish.
Star Trek 3: The Search for Spock- It was good enough having Christopher Lloyd as a Klingon, then it just went up.
Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home- It's funny, original, and the best Star Trek film so far.
