The Boondock Saints (1999) A very brilliant flick. Genius flashbacks. Brainy comments. Dafoe behaves like Gary Oldman in "Leon the Professional" but is on the good side, he's great. Entertains and makes you think. Love such duality. I would gladly rent such saints to sweep at least some of the scum like Father Rydzyk in my country

!!! As a film geek, I am insulted. But anyway, I caught myself a double feature tonight. The Hills Have Eyes (2006) - An exciting remake - not quite on par with Dawn of the Dead, but close enough. Real bloody, and a bit disturbing. Story: 5/10 Acting: 8/10 Screenwriting: 12/20 Direction: 15/20 66% V for Vendetta (2006)Politics, politics, politics! They made some mistakes in this movie big enough to alienate conservatives. I gotta let this one sink in before I form an opinion on it. But expect the politics to bite it in the ass.

A History of Violence- Brilliant Cronenberg. I just didn't like the ending.
Dave- A nice film, not funny, but nice.
Good Night, and Good Luck- Extremely fabulous.

Than you should take the liberty of purchasing this Universal Edition if you havn't already. I picked it out for my CH enrollment for 49 cents, so I wasn't burned. If you're a huge fan of the film, you'll be glad to know that the Universal dvd is packed with extras, dts sound, collector cards & so far imo is the best of the Legacy Series. Too bad for me I guess

Fail-Safe- Excellent nuclear film, but Dr. Strangelove is better.

The Village is my fav M.Night film. Completely caught me off guard unlike The Sixth Sense which my sis gladly gave away the ending just as I put the dvd in the player.

I didn't like "The Village"...at all...I'm sure the reasons why are somewhere on The Board.
But I was just watched "16 Blocks", which was all right.

"Walk the Line"--just like Jon Stewart said: "'Ray' with white people." I thought it was pretty good, pulling up some of the shortcomings of the previously mentioned movie, but then weaker in some aspects. There was a blurb at the end which stated Cash outsold The Beatles, which is true and false at the same time ("The White Album" pretty much being the greatest selling album of the 60s, but that was the only thing that really bothered me). I thought it felt a lot longer than it really was, but, I still liked it. I'd give it a B.

Lots today:
Maximum Overdrive-Done for Q's review. Expect mine up by Monday, Tuesday, as IMDb needs to approve it first.
Shredder-Same as above, only my review will be up.
Eight Legged Freaks-Pretty decent movie. Always had a thing for Wuhrer, so that had something to do with it. PG-13 rating hurts it, unfortunatley, as it can't fully be the over-the-top goofy gorefest it should've been. Still, a pretty nice introductory horror film.
Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid-Not that bad. Liked it a little more than the first one. Nice jungle setting, a couple of good deaths and a pretty nice conclusion. Just more gore, I think.
Knock Off-Sure, it's cheesy, sure, it's Van Damme, Rob Schneider and Paul Sorvino together in one very cheesy movie, but it was fun.
