King Kong- Let's see if this sounds familiar, shall we?
My God.
This movie is now oficially my 10th favorite movie of all time. Anyone who hasn't seen it yet is already committing a Movie Police crime. The cinemotagraphy and special f/x are the best I've ever seen. EVER.
GO FOR THE GOLD (OSCARS)!!! WAHOO!!!

KING KONG
A GREAT FILM NOT AS GOOD AS THE 1933 CLASSIC!!
See my review. The special effects were not better than Jurassic Park or Lord of the Rings RotK. Good, but not truly great.

Takashi Miike Double Feature: Ichi the Killer- Really funny. I laughed a lot at the loads of black humor. Cinematography was great. But the rest if it was, well...sorta cheesy... Audition- This is a movie. Thrilling shit, man. Gotta love the ending. Funny story about "Audition"- I went shopping (on a spree) at Old Navy today. Got some great looking collared shirts. Anyway, afterwards, I headed over to the food court and got some Nathan's (THE world's greatest hot dogs. I am sorry for you if you're Jewish. But Hebrew National are still great dogs). Next to Nathan's is the Japanese restaurant, Sarkio Japan. Outside of it was the free sample lady. I go up to her for a sample and notices she looks exactly like the crazy girl from "Audition," and of course, the samples are on toothpicks (in the movie's case, they were needles [anyone who's seen this movie know's what I mean.].). So I ask for a sample. She takes her hand and grabs one, and WHIPS it up to a stabbing position. I imediatley shut my eyes and she's all like, "Hello! Open you eyes! Take sample!" I opened my eyes, grabbed the sample, and RAN!

Silent Night, Bloody Night- A worthy ball in the Christmas horror cannon.
Beyond the Valley of the Dolls- Good, but it would've been better without the dumb music.
Night of Bloody Horror- Well, I liked it...

"Curse of the Werewolf" - Wow! 2 werewolf sequences and one was at the end. Hmmm...Great looking werewolf, some good scenes but far too long getting there.
"Dracula: Prince of Darkness" - Highly overrated ho hum 'Hammer' with a psychotic mime Dracula (oh the silly faces Lee pulls) who does almost nothng after finally appearing. Has a few good moments but please...'Hammer' have done much better.

Small Change.
A Traffaut French New Wave film. Very good but I'm incapable of giving a decent review of it. ***/****
