Just watched SON OF KONG (1933)
Second movie in the KING KONG COLLECTION box set. Hadn't seen this one since I was a wee lad. Definitely more kiddieish and family friendly than the classic original, Kong Jr. doesn't chew up and spit out any people. Doesn't hold a candle to KK, but at only 69 (heh!) minutes, it's pretty painless. Let the kids watch this one if the original is too intense, or too long, for them. 5/10

Got three of the way for my "Never-ending Shame" series, Candyman, Christine and The Hills Have Eyes. Read Candyman's review now, expect the other two later tonight or early tomorrow.

I saw Christine first, so that review will be up first, but I'm waiting to put both up at the same time. I saw the three last night in a hurricane viewing session (was I fucking lucky that they were on the same tape or what?!) so that will be the order. I liked Hills, Bart, so that one's going to be pretty positive. Christine, though, you'll have to wait to see what I say about that one.

I didn't like The Hills too much, so we WILL argue a bit, after all. Not my favourite Craven film.

Oh, I had assumed you liked it. I guess we will go back and forth then.

Everyone thinks that I - a Craven fan - must have liked The Hills. Well, not true.
Waiting for the review, slayrrr. And we'll argue in a gentlemanly manner, won't we?

Off course we shall, buddy. I look forward to how savagely you'll attack it, and my courteous responses. It'll be super keen.

Mindhunters 2/4
The premise was ok, albeit another "guess who the killer is". The action was good, but some of the deaths were kinda over-the-top....they were COOL but made you wonder "could that really happen?"
Not the best, but pretty good.

Watchers- I hated it...............umm....not....I liked it a lot....................really....now, now don't kill me for this....I did like it....
Watchers II- I liked this one too...........
Hackers- Pretty good movie.
Return of the Dragon- A fabulous martial arts fim. Lots of great fights and a lot of humor. Bruce's second best film ("Enter the Dragon" is first).
The Chinese Connection- Decent martials arts revenge flick. I liked it, but it wasn't his best. It was his worst. But it was good.
Conan the Barbarian- An epic, great film.

Recently watched: Larry Clark's Bully. Man this guy has courage! A dark and entertaining, though sometimes over-the-top, piece. Didn't someone else recently watch this? I could've sworn chimed in about how much I thought that movie sucked. Or... or is this Deja Vu??

I liked it, too, and also thought it could be more realistic and better for it; I guess it doesn't need so many endings, either. Quorth - WE TWO were talking about Bully (and other Clark's films before); your deja vu has good reasons to be there for you. Saw yesterday: House Of Wax and House Of The Dead. Guess which I liked more?
