Skull and Bones Overkill Immortalis
Hmm, where do I put this one? On first impression, it hasn't grabbed me like any of the others. There isn't a song that sticks out and warrants repeated plays like the other albums have. I guess it doesn't feature what ReliXIV did, which was feature a spectacular middle section that combined all of their strengths (Bats in the Belfry-Mid tempo chug; A Pound of Flesh-Hyperspeed thrashing; Keeper-Build-up) as they do each of those in spectacular fashion in the past. There's nothing like that in here, but the tone is great and it seems hopeful that something will come up.

I mean, I liked ReliXIV quite a lot but couldn't find a stand-out track there, while on Immortalis I already found about 4 tracks that just kill me. Can't give you titles right now - but I'll look them up. Listening to: Helloween's "Gambling with the Devil". Still like it a lot, one of their best things.

I'm on a binge right now trying to determine favorite tracks, and have so far come up with three: Devils in the Mist, Skull and Bones and Chalie Get Your Gun. There's others, but those right now, after the binge, are the ones that so far stick out. I think the main reason why I enjoy ReliXIV is the awesome sound on it. There's a really great tone on it and it truly sounds heavy, which I really like while I so far haven't gotten used to the one on Immortalis.

Well, it's great, of course - though a bit different from The Metal Opera. Aaand - I'm talking to Tobias Sammet today! Any questions, slayrrr?

Umm...
Is there any songs you have rarely played or never have live that you want to that get shoved off the list because the fans want to hear a particular track?

Right now it's "Manifest My Intervention" by The Chasm.
Mexico brings the Death Metal it would seem.

If you like Mexican DM, check out Hacavitz and Ravager. Both are really great. Ravager is a more thrash-influenced group but still has plenty of mid-era Death as well, and Hacavitz are just freaky Black/Death with Spanish lyrics. Really impressive.

That's Why I Despise You Dew-Scented Incinerate I'll try to keep those bands in mind (or at least this post) next time I'm plodding through Soulseek. Hey everyone! Right now, I'm not listening to Metal! Really!! I'm listening to one of my wife's CD's:The band is Tiger Army and I don't know the song title, but if I had to guess, I'd say it was something like "Eternity Belongs to Us." The song apparently about the movie Lost Boys. And once again, it's not Metal! It's like Rockabilly, but it's called "Psychobilly." It's pretty cool, actually. Go figure.

Damn, didn't have to time to ask him about it. After 20 minutes he asked for the final question, so I had no choice and had to ask him whether he's planning to visit Poland anytime soon (yup) and where's this long-promised Edguy DVD (they currently don't have time to finish it)... at least two questions instead of one, well. This was the shortest interview I have done so far. And now listening to Gamma Ray's "Land of the Free II" - man, is this a great album! Very Maiden-influenced but great.
