See My Vest performed by C. Montgomery Burns
Some men hunt for sport Other hunt for food The only thing I'm hunting for Is an outfit that looks good....
See my vest, see my vest Made from real gorilla chest Feel this sweater there's no better Than authentic Irish setter
See this hat, 'twas my cat My evening wear--vampire bat These white slippers are albino African endangered rhino
Grizzly bear underwear Turtles' necks I've got my share Beret of poodle on my noodle It shall rest
Try my red robin suit It comes one breast or two See my vest see my vest See my vest
Like my loafers? Former gophers It was that or skin my chauffeurs But a greyhound fur tuxedo Would be best
So let's prepare these dogs Kill two for matching clogs See my vest see my vest Oh please won't you see my veeeessssttttt

Hey, Bart, you're from Poland, what are your opinions on these Polish bands: Vader Decapitated Behemoth Lost Souls Belephegor Darzamat Kat Vesania I guess you'll be disappointed: the bands you put above don't really belong to my favourites... Here goes: Vader - our most famous band and I'm glad for it but can't stand Peter's vocals and therefore don't have a single album from them Decapitated - umm, err, don't know them Behemoth - saw them in concert lately (before Maiden) but wasn't impressed Lost Souls - got their debut CD free but could only listen to it two or three times and off it went to Quorth Belephegor - are they really from Poland? No, seriously... Darzamat - uh... I guess I heard one song of theirs; didn't impress me too much Kat - the original vocalist was, in my opinion, terrible; now they have a new one and just recorded an English language album (Mind Cannibals), so I may give'em another try Vesania - don't know them. You see, I'm a fan of more traditional Polish metal bands like: Acid Drinkers - great thrash/hard rock/punk mixture Wolf Spider - thrash/jazz you can't help but adore Turbo - Iron Maiden-esque albums are my favourites from them but they were also pretty good in their thrash and neo-thrash period The Chainsaw - Maiden successors again with two wonderful albums so far Gotta get me some Horrorscope, too - you can guess who these guys are being inspired by, eh?

Shadow Gallery "Room V". I'm not a die-hard fan of this band but they sure are good enough to pop into my CD player from time to time.

The Science of Horror By: Nocturnus From: Ethereal Tomb Nice, Q. Good old Floridian death metal with some progressive touches thrown in. Seeing that, I decided for some Swedish death: Phantasma (The best song on the album) Nightrage Descent into Chaos

Best album they've done since Cryptic Writings, most Thrashy since Countdown to Extinction.

Hey, that's not that bad. At least you've heard of some of them. Definitely, I think you'll like Kat. The new vocalist is a great improvement. The Chainsaw I've heard of, but have no reference point (song) to base them on. Which Maiden album do they sound like (if not, then why the Maiden reference) Horrorscope, I think, you'll probably like more than the others. Amazing, old-school style thrash extravaganza. Not that many are imported over here (I think it's their label that's behind this) but I give them a great recommendation, Bart. I call them a cross between early Testament and early 90's Overkill. If you can find the CD Pictures of Pain from them, definitely pick it up. From the others, only Turbo I've heard of (funny story: before I knew what the cover of Turbo by Judas Priest looked like, I saw this CD in the black metal section (They lumped black, death, and thrash together) and saw it was out of place, so I moved it over to the Judas Priest section I had passed up earlier) but a friend of mine said they were pretty good, will have to seek them out. Beyond those, I've never heard of any of the other groups, will also have to search them out. Thanks for the recs, Bart.

Long-Haired Asshole Nuclear Assault Third World Genocide A crazy song, isn't it? I like it, kind of, but I'm not sure it fits this album. As for Megadeth's "The Scorpion": this is a great track, one of my faves from their last album, which is pretty damn great overall. slayrrr: The Chainsaw sounds like the early Maiden but it's hard to put a finger on an album they can be compared to; also, it's their debut album (Electric Wizards) that's more Maiden-esque, the second one (The Journey Into The Heart Of Darkness) is rather eclectic - you even get some growling there! Turbo is a great band but almost each of their albums belongs to a different sub-genre; "Tozsamosc" and "The Last Warrior" are recommended for the heavy metal fans.
