How are the special features on the Goodfellas disc? It has an all-new digital transfer & 5.1 sound 2 commentaries: One with Martin Scorsese & some of the cast & crew and the second with Henry Hill and a former FBI agent. 3 documentaries: Getting Made Made Men: The Goodfellas Legacy The Workaday Gangster Paper is Cheaper than Film: A Storyboard-to-screen comparison Theatrical trailer I think it's worth it for the Scorsese commentary alone.

Guys... why buy the poor Kill Bill DVD's? You have seen both movies already, you don't have much time to watch all the stuff you buy immediately after the purchase, and these two movies are going to get a nice new DVD treatment in near future. Just wanted to know.

Yup. I'm waiting for when they release both movies together in one Special Edition set, with lots more extra features, etc. Rumour is we might even get it before the end of the year. Maybe a Christmas gift from Tarantino?

I havn't seen Kill Bill Vol. 2 yet. Well the current release is Anamorphic & has Dts surround sound, so thats all I care about. If 5 more re-releases come out with more bonus material or alternate footage (colorized), I'll pass on those.

Blindly picked up Moonlight Mile, used for $5.
Heard good things about it... and I'm a huge fan of the lead actors (Hoffman, Sarandon, Gyllenhaal).

Nothing new for me for the next couple of weeks. I've been asked by my wife to put a hold on my DVD purchasing until after my Birthday, on Sep. 9th. Otherwise I might buy stuff that people planned on getting me as gifts. This happens every year around this time. Same at Christmas time.

My brother does that all the time. He'll have a whole list of dvd's & cd's that he wants for christmas or birthday & he'll go out & buy half of them. I've threatened to just stop buying stuff for him...

Well, despite the fact that I'm not supposed to buy anymore DVDs until after my Birthday, I walked into a Ballbuster, er, Blockbuster Video today and picked up some used DVDs. They were having a "Buy 3 Used DVDs For $25" special. How could I resist? I can justify it by saying that none of these titles were on my "official' Wishlist. I just figured, in the back of my mind, that I'd probably pick 'em up eventually. ;D I got: BAD-DER SANTA (Unrated Version) MYSTIC RIVER SCHOOL OF ROCKThe 12 year old stepson was with me and he can't watch the first two titles, so I let him pick one. He loved SCHOOL OF ROCK!
