Bloodsucking Cinema-All-too-brief overview of the history of vampire movies, from Nosferatu to BloodRayne (it had just been released at the time this was originally made, it's not a recent documentary at all) stopping along the way for remarks about Dracula, Horror of Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, From Dusk till Dawn, Blade, John Carpenter's Vampires and Underworld in addition to those aforementioned bookending films. Hardly manages to get anything out since, at only 55 minutes long, there's no time to get into the film beyond simply stating that it's famous so worship it before moving on to the next film. Misses large gaps in the history as well, completely overlooking the Gothic horrors that came from the Hammer inspirations or the eventual lead-in to the Lesbian horrors in the early 70s, the drive-in versions of the US early-70s or even what happened around the world during that time since vampires weren't confined to US cinemas. This is a topic that screams out to be redone in a more professional and completed manner without all the usual talking heads bestowing praise on a film simply because it's famous. Vampire Secrets-Wow, this one was a million miles beyond the previous vampire documentary I watched that it's just simply a blast to watch. Not just content to have an exploration of the creature in films, it goes all the way back and describes the early experiences people had with supposed encounters, how the concept started and what caused them, offering credible explanations as well as some that are defied by belief, going through all the major figures in the chronology of the creatures' birth as well and finally getting up and including the different ways people interact as vampires today and covering the films to a degree as well. Sure, they hit the same films as the previous one but this one is more about them in general and not just exploring the movies so I'll forgive it a tad. Really, really enjoyable and quite entertaining. The Big Bang Theory Rules of Engagement

Hmm, Vampire Secrets sounds good to me... Pity I can't find it on any channel around here.
Just watched: V, several season 2 episodes. Not quite as involving as season 1 but I'm still addicted to it... so far.

Ah, alright - thanks for the link! Looks tempting...
And as for TV - I'm rewatching Tru Calling this week and I like it almost as much as I did the first time around.
