Working Class-New sitcom styled in the Reba tradition, features pretty much the same style of comedy so if it appealed to you, this one will too. Might also remind a little of Roseanne, but make no mistake this isn't going to be as iconic as that one was. It's pretty much just a paint-by-numbers affair, which in itself isn't so bad but it's still enjoyable enough to kill a half-hour. The Simpsons

Bigfoot: A Definitive Guide-A pretty thorough look-through at the history of the creature's sightings, along with passing notice to fellow 'relatives' through the World, from the Skunk Ape in Florida, Swamp Stalker in Louisiana, Orang Pendak in Indonesia, Yeti in Nepal and India and Yowie in Australia, among other names in other locales. Mixing in the usual reenactments, discussion of evidence and talking head interviews, provides a rather impressive history of the creature and makes for some pretty interesting and informative viewing if you happen to follow the subject. Modern Family Mr. Sunshine-A sarcastic guy tries to keep his sanity amongst his job as a high-level executive at a sports arena. Well, this was proof-positive about my feelings that Friends was really on a downswell during it's final runs: Chandler was just way too sarcastic and down-beat to really be enjoyable, and that exact same persona is carried over into this new show. You'll think it's exactly the same person, his exact same personality and it's just not really all that exciting at the moment. Granted, it's only the pilot and there's potential to make it a little brighter, but I don't see this lasting a long time with it's current incarnation especially with the much-better Cougar Town removed to put this on. That one got better and funnier, this one is just depressing so far.

So you wouldn't recommend Mr. Sunshine, would you, slayrrr? It's a pity, I was looking forward to watching this one.

Well, there was a couple things that really got to me about that one:
1. I hated Chandler during Friend's last two seasons because he was just a chore to watch during his scenes since he was so down-beat and sarcastic, and that exact same persona is repeated here. The entire show seems to be with him thinking he's the most sane one working with a bunch of idiots and quipping off sarcastic one-liners in that manner, yet wondering why no one really likes him all that much, he can't hold a girlfriend way out his league and getting older and being tired of it. I'm just not that into those kinds of characters as they're not all that much fun to be around and if you can't have fun, what's the point of watching something?
2. This was just the pilot, it could get better since there's still a lot of different ways this could go. I've seen tons of shows where I really hated the pilot but got into it as it went on.
3. I really enjoy Cougar Town and love where it's going, yet it was taken off to air this one that really disappointed me, so it was a little bit of that going on in the viewing.
But really, it was mainly the first issue. If that seems appealing to you, then go for it as you might like it (I think you'll like Alison Janney's character the most, I think she's the best part of the show as it stands) but that's just me.

How I Met Your Mother Mad Love-New show about the romance between a couple who got together in a really romantic way and their friends who secretly love each other but can't stand the new relationship. Not all that bad so far, some nice laughs and a rather decent premise so far, with the possibility for this to go in several great directions in the future that can sustain several seasons down the road and a pretty nice cast so far. Has some nice potential, let's see where it goes. Two and a Half Men

Thanks for the explanation, slayrrr! And by the way - did you enjoy "Joey" at all?
Now watching: "Scrubs", the next-to-last season. Heard it's the last good one, huh?

I stopped watching Joey the middle of the first season: I knew it wasn't going anywhere and there was no real business trying to keep up with it. Plus, since I tend to flip to other shows when one I'm watching is going to commercials, I kept it on the other show instead and found other stuff to watch. It wasn't all that good anyway: there's a difference between comedic stupidity and aggravating stupidity, and he crossed into the aggravating one for me so often that I never laughed all that much at it when I was watching it.
However, I think you'll be happy to know that Mr. Sunshine's second episode, the one last night where I am, was a lot better than the pilot, kinda like I figured it would. A little brighter but still with that air of doom and gloom to his personality, yet actually having some pretty good stuff throughout that I never felt like it was a downer of an episode. Since the supporting cast got a little more time to shine, I think it's going to be one where the strength of the rest of the cast will drive it, not Perry.
