I'm just watching the re-runs of the first season: really good stuff! Terry O'Quinn excels in his role - without him much of the series' mystery would be lost, I think.
I'll be all ready for the second season when it starts, just hope it gets on air soon after the ABC premiere (I know it's in the plans of the AXN station - which I now have - to air it), so I can talk to you all about it.

I'm glad you got to see it Bart! Terry O'Quinn's Locke seems to be everyone's favorite, although the strength in the show is that there are no really weak characters.
The new season premieres this week here in the States. We're having a bunch of people over to watch it on our TV. I hope we find out what is in that damn hatch!

MAJOR SPOILERS!!! Holy Crap!!! The guy Jack met while jogging was living in the hatch? What the hell was that about? I have no idea. It seemd like all the stuff down the hatch was 70s, yet I dont think the flashbacks were from the 70s because that would make Jack a bit older than he is. I have no idea. My hubby and I have been talking circles around it and it makes no sense! agh! I'm totally 'Lost.'

Everything down there was older style stuff, record player, vintage computers, exercise bike, etc., but obviously Jack's flashbacks weren't from the 70's. He met this guy while his future wife was recuperating in the hospital, which only happened a few years ago. As they said in Alice in Wonderland, "Curiouser and curiouser." Simple: Some people we down there before the racer. Huh??

The man Jack met wasn't the first one down there.

SPOILER ALERT FOR EPISODE AIRING ON 9/28!!!!!!
Last nights episode was titled 'Treading Water' and I think it's a fitting description as it sort of slowly moved along. The backstory didnt tell us anything new & we learned nothing of Desmond. Instead we learn Sawyer and Walt are still alive and they just sort of float along till the end of the episode yeling at each other. The only tidbit we get from hour is the symbol on the shark (yay! I actually used the pause button on my TiVo other than for a bathroom break). Oh, and the 'Others' are on the Island (no surprise there). The 'Why's' have yet to be answered. AGH!

SPOILERS FOR 10/5/05 LOST EPISODE!: More questions remain! More clues! More frustration. The gossip is abuzz today at my office and everyone keeps IMing me about last nights episode. My favorite part? The 'Orientation Video.' My friend pulled off the transcript for it and sent it to me: "Welcome I'm Dr. Marvin Candle, and this is the orientation film for Station 3 (warble) of the Dharma Initiative.
In a moment you will be given (warble) simple set of instructions for how you and your partner will fulfill the responsibilities associated with this station. But first a little history:
The Dharma Initiative was created in 1970 and is the brainchild of Gerald and Karen Degroot. Two doctoral candidates at the University of Michigan. Following in the footsteps (warble) of visionaries such as B.F. Skinner (warble) imagined a large scale communal research compound where scientists and free thinkers from around the globe could pursue research in meteorlogy, psychology, parapsychology, zoology, electromagnetism and utopian social (big warble and skip)....reclusive Danish industrialist and munitions magnate Alvar Hanso, whose financial backing made their dream of a multipurpose social science research facility a reality.
You and your partner are currently located at Station 3 or The Swan, and will be for the next 540 days. Now Station 3 was originally constructed as a laboratory where scientists could work to understand the unique electromagnetic fluctuations emanating from this sector of the island.
Not long after the experiments began however, there was....an incident. And since that time the following protocal has been observed: Every 108 minutes the button must be pushed. From the moment the alarm sounds you will have four minutes to enter the code into the microcomputer processor.
(warble and skip)
....induction into the program. When the alarm sounds either you or your parnter must input the code. It is highly recommended that you and your partner take alternating shifts. In this manner you both will stay as fresh and alert.....(warble and skip) of utmost importance that when the alarm sounds the code be entered correctly and in a timely fashion. Now do not attempt to use the computer for any (thing )
(big warble and skip)
Congratulations, until your replacements arrive the future of the project is in your hands. On behalf of the Degroots, Alvar Hanso, and all of us at the Dharma Initiative. Thank you. Namaste, and good luck."Perhaps all the stations are located on the island? AGH!

Forget all that! The biggest shock of the evening for me was that Locke used to date Peg Bundy! Who saw that one coming?? ;D Great episode, as usual. So what's the deal with The Others? Are they actually just the passengers that were in the tail end of the plane? Or did what's her face just align herself with them to save her own ass? I'm soooo confused!! But I can't stop watching! We're gonna need a 12-step program when this is all over.
