Ok, being the vampire freak that I am (bet you didn't guess THAT.. ) I thought I'd start a thread for vampire movies/tv. Here's my top five vamp movies in no particular order: 1. Interview With The Vampire 2. The Lost Boys 3. Near Dark 4. Subspecies series(from Full Moon Entertainment) 5. Dracula (Bela Lugosi) Those are just the ones I watch the most....I've probably seen just about everyone made, so I wish i hadn't I just hate bad vampire movies...I didn't like Innocent Blood or Dracula 2000. That's just my opinion, not trying to offend anyone who likes these movies. As for tv, I love the Buffy & Angel series', Forever Knight & Kindred:The Embraced. Which just about covers the tv stuff. lol I read that WB is going to do a new version of Dark Shadows, being a fan of the original I'd like to see what they do w/ the new version.

I like vampire movies but there's not many of them that I love a pure love; the titles underneath are my favourites but it doesn't mean I think they're perfect: [shadow=red,left,300]From Dusk Till Dawn[/shadow] From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money Fright Night Vampire's Kiss Blade [shadow=red,left,300] Blade II[/shadow] Salem's Lot [shadow=red,left,300] A Return To Salem's Lot[/shadow] Lost Boys Interview With The Vampire Bram Stoker's Dracula No particular order here but I distinguished the most loved titles with this red thing. 42nd? I know you're not a fan of the 'Stoker's' Dracula but I thought I couldn't omit it.

...I didn't like Innocent Blood or Dracula 2000. That's just my opinion, not trying to offend anyone who likes these movies... I was also disappointed with those two. And Dracula: The Ascension didn't make me happy, either.

I loved the first From Dusk Til Dawn..but the sequels..ehhhhh . The Blade movies I liked but not some of my faves. I hear that someone is doing an updated version of Salem's Lot...wonder how that will turn out?

I wonder about the new Salem's Lot myself - could be good but could be... you know.
And the Dusk Till Dawn: the first one's best by far, but I liked many scenes in the first sequel as well; the third part - kind of Vampirado for me, if you know what I mean - wasn't actually bad, but had too many weak spots to include it in my list.

The new Salem's Lot has a great cast: Rob Lowe, Rutger Hauer, and Donald Sutherland, although I think NBC probably has rights since of Rob Lowe.

Good cast! I guess Rob Lowe will be playing "Ben"? I think David Soul played him in the original. It will be great to see Donald Sutherland too!

Rutger Hauer & Donald Sutherland together in a vampire movie? Wasn't that called BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER?

They probably made a good pair in Buffy then (I only saw a few parts of Buffy). This time, Sutherland=Straker And Hauer=Barlow.
Good ol Hutch did a wonderful job in the first, but how will Lowe do?

Here are some of my favorite vampire flicks, in no particular order:
BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE FROM DUSK TILL DAWN LOST BOYS FRIGHT NIGHT DRACULA (Lugosi) BLADE BLADE II NOSFERATU
I've seen many others, SALEM'S LOT, NEAR DARK, DRACULA (Langella), HORROR OF DRACULA (Christopher Lee), etc., but it's been so long that honestly, I couldn't give a fair opinion on them. I noticed that no one mentioned the recent UNDERWORLD. I haven't seen it, but was it that bad? Also, yes, DRACULA 2000 was a real stink bomb. ;D

H. I noticed that no one mentioned the recent UNDERWORLD. I haven't seen it, but was it that bad? Also, yes, DRACULA 2000 was a real stink bomb. ;D It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the best I've ever seen either. It had it's moments, but mostly it's just the typical "modern" vampire movie...
