From Cinema Confidential:
Latino Review (http://www.latinoreview.com) spoke with Ray Romano, who revealed that a script is in place for "Ice Age 2" and that things are moving slowly but forward.
“I read the script a couple months ago. What happens now is I think they’re worried about everything melting. I think it starts out where they have to flee because they’re about to get flooded.”
He also revealed a little bit about his character, Manny. “I know Manny gets a girlfriend in it, my character. This is how sad I am, I’m excited about that. You know how you get, when you’re in a film and you’re going to have a boyfriend or a girlfriend, a little bit of excitement. I’m excited about my animated character having one. ‘I wonder if I’ll get a crush on her or something.’ She’s not even going to be in the studio.”

I liked Ice Age but did not LOVE it. But as long as Scratch is in it, I'm all for it!

I am too lazy to check out what company made the CGI for the this film, I know 20th Century Fox distributed it. I thought the film was very dry, bland, lack of humor etc... The best part of the film was in the trailer where scratch takes that nut out of the ice & all hell breaks loose. I thought that trailer was a huge marketing ploy as the film was no where near as entertaining than that scene.

I thought it was pretty good, I was laughing most of the way through it.

I thought it was pretty good, I was laughing most of the way through it. Ditto. I didn't think it was on the same level as a TOY STORY or MONSTER'S INC., but I was still entertained by it.

Oh, I agree, it was no where near TS or MI, but the story was good, good characters & pretty funny.

I liked Ice Age, too. And since I can't compare it to Toy Story or Monsters Inc. (still haven't seen them), I'll say it wasn't as good as Shrek but better than Finding Nemo.
