Pretty self-explanatory. My vote goes for the original slow-moving zombies, because that's how I saw them as.

I voted for "the fast ones" just because it's always a bit nervier when the monsters run at ya - see the wheel changing scene in 28 Days Later (and please just don't tell me that the infected are not really real zombies ). In all actuality, though - I don't care that much. A good movie makes either slow or fast zombies a yummy menace. What sucks is when we have zombies behaving differently depending on who they are currently attacking - damn fast for secondary characters, dead-slow for Milla Jovovich (see: Resident Evil: Apocalypse).

I went w/ the slow ones simply b/c that's what I grew up with, that 's what I'm used to. But the fast ones (i.e. 28 Days Later like Bart mentioned) are pretty damn freaky & have a much more 'ewwwww' effect.

Slow & 'mentally challenged' ones for me too. Makes more sense from a medical standpoint.

Voted for the "slow and retarded" because, well, that's the classic.
The quick ones are a pretty new breed --so far seen only in "28 days later", the "Dawn of the dead" remake and this one obscure little movie which title I can't remember (they had this one zombie with a machete and he moved Damn Fast! And no, it wasn't any of the Friday the 13th movies).
But my favorite breed is actually a mix of the two: slow and lumbering, yet actually sentient and perhaps a bit smart. The kind seen in:
- Day of the dead (Bub). - Shatter dead. - Grapes of the dead. - Prince of darkness. - White zombie (I think, can't remember clearly).
Etcetera.

I just like the fact that the word "intelligent" is misspelled in the poll. Hee hee. Come on, you just knew I'd be the dick to point it out, right?? ;D Well, if I'm the one actually being chased by zombies, I'd prefer the slow, idiot breed. Hell, even Shaun and his buddies were able to fight them off, for a while anyway. But if I'm only watching them in one of these here movies, I'll take the speedy fellars. Running zombies are scary cause they can actually catch your ass!

Gotta go with the slow, retarded ones here! Fast zombies creep me out. I absolutely cannot watch the Dawn of the Dead remake because I was just too freaked out by the fast fuckers. Can't do it, and you can't make me. 28 Days Later didn't bother me because they weren't the flesh eating kind of zombies. Sad thing is, I grew up watching zombie movies and loved them! Well, all except for the Hari Krishna zombie, he gave me nightmares for weeks!

A zombie fans' wet dream is coming (no pun intended): ROMERO'S LAND OF THE DEAD is being advertised now! It's coming!!
Oh, and, zombie fan that I am, I felt I should say that I think that slower zombies force more creative scripting. Fast zombies can getcha anywhere. The director's gotta think to make those slow bastards scary. Day of the Dead is a perfect example of how to make a scary film with slow zombies, in my opinion at any rate.
hhhuuuuuhhhhhhh.... Land of the Dead..... *whipes away drool* I actually stopped talking and just stared at the TV with my mouth drooping when I saw the my first LotD ad. Oh man I can't wait...
