From The Digital Bits: Warner has finally re-slated their Iron Giant: Special Edition for 9/7 (SRP $19.97). The title, which was delayed from its original release date last year (to precede the theatrical release of Brad Bird and Pixar's The Incredibles in November), will include tons of cool extras. Look for the film in anamorphic widescreen video (from an all-new transfer) with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, commentary by the director and filmmakers, 8 deleted scenes (including an alternate opening, all with director's commentary), 13 "mini-documentaries" on the making of the film and The Voice of the Giant featurette (hosted by Vin Diesel), a "motion" gallery of original animation, a letter from author Ted Hughes, DVD-ROM weblinks and Easter eggs."The Voice of the Giant featurette (hosted by Vin Diesel)". Did you see that livingdeadgirl?? I cannot wait for this Special Edition DVD to be released! And only two days before my birthday! That'll be a nice gift to myself. This was a great movie and one of the most underrated animated films of all time. Nobody saw this at the theaters thanks to the really crappy promotional campaign, so if you still haven't, now's your chance.

LOL, yes, I saw it. My Vin radar honed in on it. ;D I actually watched this movie originally purely b/c Vin did the voice, but then I actually LIKED the movie. This SE sounds great!

Another one I haven't seen. Underrated or not I have read some very favorable reviews of it.
