Taken from tvshowsondvd;
"Fox has officially announced the direct-to-DVD title Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story Unrated.
In this exclusive 83 minute DVD premiere, featuring brand new, never before seen content, Stewie, the maniacal baby genius, is distracted from his plans for world domination when he sees a man who looks just like him on television. Convinced that this man must be his real father (after all, how could he possibly share genetic material with the dimwitted Peter?), Stewie sets off on a cross-country road trip to find him. But his incredible journey leads him to discoveries far more vile and shocking that anything found in his diaper.
The DVD, which will be released on September 27, will retail for $29.98 US, or $41.98 CAN. Check out these bonus features!
* Alternate "Unrated" Audio Track * Full Screen Feature * Audio Commentary (participants to be decided) * "Making of" Featurette * Animatic Comparison * Family Guy Season 4 Preview * American Dad DVD Preview
That's right...an unrated audio track. Swears in a Family Guy cartoon! All we have to say is....freakin' sweet!"

Great news! I'm just watching (FINALLY!) Season 4 and though one could argue the previous episodes were funnier, Stewie is always a killer! A movie with him as the main character then? AND with some swearing as a bonus? Freaking sweet indeed!

Looks like Futurama may be following suit with these direct-to-video movies. According to Billy West (I believe at the current Comic-Con), a Futurama movie has been green-lighted.
With the DVD sales and, especially, the constant popularity of Family Guy on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, Family Guy got a re-birth and a new season.
Let's hope the same happens for Futurama. Best Show Ever.

I gotta say I didn't really care much for the Family Guy movie. I adore Stewie, but the movie, even with cursing, just isn't very good. For one thing it's just like three seperate episodes since the first and last parts are about the show itself and the "movie" in between.
I guess it follows suit pretty well with what has happened since Family Guy got brought back though. All they've been doing is rehasing tired old jokes and letting them run far longer than they needed to. I don't want to see another 10 minute long Peter vs. Chicken fight. I don't need to watch Stewie sit on a plane for 2 minutes so that he can slap Will Ferril, it just isn't that funny. Seth McFarlane has lost his touch and it's a damn shame.
I would be thrilled though if Futurama got a movie or even half the attention that Family Guy gets, it's a much better show. Don't get me wrong, I've always enjoyed Family Guy (at least until recently), Futurama just seems to have a lot more replay value and staying power. Since Groening has kept The Simpsons going strong for almost two decades there is no doubt in my mind that he could bring back Futurama now and have it be as good as it ever was.

Welcome to The Board, ontariosuave. I'd love to see FUTURAMA return as well. Either as a series or at least as straight to DVD features. Well, the FAMILY GUY movie is exactly three episodes strung together. The creators talk about that fact on the DVD's commentary. They created some new footage in order to make it all run together as one long feature. Now, I did find it funny, but I do have to wonder about it's rewatchability later on.

You silly people. Wanting a Futurama movie. You know, if you read the interview with Billy West I posted a link to, you'd know that a Futurama DVD feature is already in the planning stages--with the possibility of a second on in the future.
That Billy West interview is linked in this section!!

That interview makes me so happy. I can't wait to see that movie.
Also, I didn't know that Billy West was the voice of both the Red M&M and the Cheerios honey bee. He's even more prolific than I thought.
