I guess I should of thought of a more specific thread title than Unleashed huh? How about Unleashed-Unrated? ;D DrLenera, I'm waiting for the dvd release patiently. Without giving away anything, do you think there were scenes which could have been more graphic? There will be 2 versions released this October 11th in region 1. The theatrical & a Unrated Version. A lot of positive feedback from viewers who saw the theatrical has me wondering if I should buy that version instead.

Anyone here actually seen Unleashed yet? I saw it recently, liked it alot so I ordered the DVD. It's been criticised for it's slow middle half, but I think unfairly,Jet Li's acting is really quite good and some scenes were touching despite the general absurdity of the plot! You also see him go totally beserk in some of his fights instead of holding back and jumping around on wires. Bob Hoskins and his liens kept making me laugh, though I'm not sure that was entirely intended. Still,I really enjoyed it.Apparently the UK and US versions are cut and have a different ending shot, the Korean DVD which I ordered {under it's original title} is uncut. If only Luc Besson would DIRECT another film....... The wife and I caught it a couple weeks ago in a cheap theater and we both liked it. I didn't mind the middle, my only problem was the rather cumbersome beginning and my wife thought the "underground fight club" was really cheesy (which it kind of is). Overall, a good movie. I agree, an excellent performance from Jet Li.

I didn't notice any extra violence, although there are a few more dialogue scenes, about 4 minutes. The last shot is different and much better {no tacky CGI piano bit}. I think this is the 'unrated'version, unless there is ANOTHER version with extra brutality!

That's annoying when there are so many different cuts to a film. I just want the ultra-violent one.
But just how are you supposed to know which is which?

If you really are so dedicated to watch the ultra-violent version you have to find it somewhere on Net. The most probable places where you may find such 'extras' are p2p networks. You must look for look for key works like unrated, uncensored, version etc...

I'm not big on trusting P2P stuff these days. Had a trojan horse and a lot of spyware on my computer for a while--then the harddrive crashed.

You must have been using Kazaa or other similar shit. Use E-mule (the biggest database in the world) or Shareaza (small database but very secure [so they say] If you use shitty Norton Symantec Antyvirus you are very vulnerable to all kinds of Trojans and malware which that shit doesn't see. What kind of Antyvir do you have?

Symantec Norton
I also have Ad-Aware (Spyware finder-deleter) installed
And: .... I forget the other one.... it's a kind of "super firewall" that does or doesn't allow all kinds of shit to access either the computer or the internet. ZoneAlarm--that's it.

Norton Symantec is advertise as the best antivirus software. And it is really in case of old-style viruses. But it is hopeless with Trojans, backdoors, and other malware. I used to have Norton and it was together with Norton firewall and other accessory soft. Then I found that my computer clock is making fun of me showing me false readings. I asked some 'hacker' friends and they told me what a shit it is. It is a mass product for masses which is very well advertised but quite shitty in real, cause Trojans and malware may be most dangerous stuff on computer. Norton makes also computer sluggish. Zone Alarm is the oldest firewall, some say it's good enough, some don't. When I changed antivir for one recommended by 'hackers' during scan it turned out I had quite a number of Trojans and other shitty malware Norton didn't paid attention to. As to spyware there are no good enough soft to fight it. Each soft detects something which often happens to be just a harmless or almost harmless cookie, some dialers. There are so many kinds of this shit that virtually all existing spyware removers are of little help. I tried plenty of them and each detects something different that others don't pay attention to.

The best, according to Consumer Reports, and what I use now, is Microsoft Anti-Spyware. If you have Windows you can get it for FREE on their website: www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspxIt has all the same stuff as the ones you pay for but updates all the time. Yes, microsoft is evil, and if you use IE you're going to get a shitload of spyware. I also recommend Quorthon getting the Firefox web browser - it will really save you from just getting a lot of that IE shit. With the combo of Firfox and the Microsoft Anti-Spyware I only get like one or two spyware programs a week I have to delete as opposed to the 50-70 I used to get.

Wasn't a fan of Firefox. For all the evil of Microsoft, I tend to stick with IE--it's what I'm used to...

So what are the good anti-virus/spyware/trojan programs?? I'm using Bit-Defender antivirus/firewall/antispam software. It is updated very often even 10 times a day so the database is really kept up-to-date. The scan module is much more painstaking that in the case of Norton and brings much better results. Antispam is spectacular it never makes mistakes. This soft is probably unknown to you in US cause the producer is from Romania (Transylvania you know Dracula ;D) Well I was really surprised that such a good soft may be made in such an underdeveloped region. But now it is developing fast. I mean Romania. You can't buy it in the shop but you can order it on line and just download it as trial version. If you're satisfied you can buy it and they send you a key to it. It is quite cheap for you.

Are you sure you are getting less spyware or just Micro soft detects less? Spyware is such a pain in the ass as it has tendency to hide in various maliciously smart ways
