You didn't mind first watching the movies in reverse order, JEDI, EMPIRE and then A NEW HOPE, but Special Editions bother you? Seriously?

YES! ;D Though it's not exactly as devilishly my fault as you put it above, Heineken I was a youngster when Star Wars and Empire were hitting Polish screens (it wasn't several weeks after the US premiere, mind you, not back then - we had to wait several years for it), and I only grew up enough for Return Of The Jedi - saw it, wanted more, got a late Empire screening some time after Jedi. Didn't see A New Hope until it was on TV (then, of course, I went to see it at the theatre when the restored versions were released). And as I wrote before - Empire looks actually better in the restored suit but A New Hope... you know... the Greedo controversy and all...

I just blink when Greedo shoots first, that way it looks exactly the way it's supposed to. That's the only change in the Special Ed. that really bugs me. I can live with the others.

I voted for Empire. I remember seeing the first three when I was a kid when they were originally released. I wish I still had all the action figures, bet I could get a ton for them on ebay! lol No, I probably wouldn't be able to part w/ them. Anyway, I just loved the darkness of Empire & ok, being a Vader fan you gotta love how bad ass he is in this one. Not to say I didn't cheer for our heroes though too, and Empire left me wondering how they were going to save the day in the next installment. As for the last two, ehhh, to me nothing can beat the originals. Like someone said, they just got bogged down w/ all the politics & everything & just kind of hard to follow unless you've watched them a hundred times. (no offense to anyone who has...lol)

I was also tempted by Vader's dark side I hated the moment when he had to be killed. And his beautiful thrilling low voice. I guess that's the best part. No black villain will ever match it.

You're telling me you're fans of The Lion King, guys? But seriously: he should be acting more, not just letting Hollywood to hire his voice! Why does he only get parts in Exorcist II or Allan Quatermain And The Lost City Of Gold as an actor? ...not that I don't like the Quatermain movie but, you know, it's not exactly widely respected, is it?

Heyyyyyyy, I happened to like The Lion King!! But I have a niece & nephew so I have to watch all those Disney movies... But seriously, it would be nice to see him in more actual roles than just voice parts.

I thought James Earl Jones was great in FIELD OF DREAMS. But you guys are right, he should be getting more acting work where we actually get to see him and not just hear him. Oh, and I thought he was great as Mufasa in THE LION KING also. ;D

Yeah, I read this info over at the official SW site. It sounds great extras-wise, but I was a little disappointed that from the original cast, only Carrie Fisher is participating in commentaries. I thought maybe Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones or Billy Dee Williams would too. I held no hope for Harrison Ford. Oh well, still can't wait to get my mitts on these. ;D
