Yeah, so that's the title of the new book, which I am waiting for. Being 18 and almost out of high school, when I talk about Harry Potter people are always like, "Hey, Matt, aren't you old for that?" And I always say, "Nah. They're great book and you're too embarassed to admit you read them, too."
SPOILERS FROM OTHER BOOKS, PROBABLY.
I have absolutley no idea what this one is about, but then again I still had no idea what was going on in the other ones before I picked them up (save the whole wizard-school thing). I'm still kind of upset over the crappy death that was Sirius Black's, who was an awesome character and you know it. I mean, it would have been better if he died any other way, but he fell through a curtain and that was it. That was really like, "Come on, Rowling. Come on." I'm crossing my fingers that this one won't be a zillion pages long (all right, 867) like before. But we'll see.

I finished on Saturday and am re-reading it now. I usually do that with the Harry Potter books: read them once for the events and then again for whatever else I may have missed. Yes, yes, I realize that this is sad, but I'm content.
I went to one of those Harry Potter parties at Barnes and Noble on Friday and had a blast. I was happy to see that all these people were lining up for a book. That is something you don't see very often.
I really liked it. I liked how we now looked at Voldemort's (gasp!) past and saw just how messed up he really is. I like the relationship things and am extremely glad that Mr. Potter isn't throwing a tantrum every 20 pages. The ending is excellant, but I don't want to spoil anything.
When you finish, Phoenix, you'll have to tell me your reactions and whatnot.

I sadly started reading it last night and couldn't put it down till I reached the end - I stayed up till about 4am. And then I was so restless with the ending I got up and stalked around the house for awhile. It was actually darker that I expected - the death, the betrayal, the revelations...wow. The ending is such a stunner that I can't believe I'm going to have to wait 2-3 years for the next one! I'll probably reread the last few chapters and try to catch some of the little stuff that I may have missed since I was probably tired & rushed through it a bit. I had guessed that the character who died might be taken down but I wished so badly that it wouldn't happen that I was still surprised when I read it. So many questions for the next book! Best thing I've read hands down this year. ****
