I've read 44 books so far this year. I may've listed some of these before. I don't care.
The General in His Labryinth The Solitudes A Model World and OTher Stories Or Not Engine Summer The Field Guide The Seeing Stone Lucinda's Secret The Ironwood Tree The Wrath of Mulgarath Watership Down Pnin The Land of Laughs Love & Sleep A Midsummer NIght's Dream Oranges are not the Only Fruit Lolita The Girlhood of Shakespeare's Heroines Love's Labour's Lost A Visitation of Spirits Edwin Mullhouse: The LIfe and Death of an American Writer 1943-1954 Invisible Cities Strange Pilgrims The MErchant of Venice What She Left Me Mason & Dixon The Translator Tabloid Dreams The Swimming-Pool LIbrary Blankets Henry IV Part One Werewolves in Their Youth Tipping the Velvet The Diving Bell and the Butterfly Henry IV Part Two Plainsong Lord Byron's Novel Fiskadoro Then We Came to the End By Night in Chile Adult Head The Incognito Lounge Henry V Ragtime
Some of those took me weeks, some took days. I enjoyed most of them on some level. But then again, this isn't Dan Brown or generic horror or convuluted mysteries or contrived science fiction and fantasy or formulatic thrillers so there's something to look at and respect in most of those on some level; many with more than a gazillion.

I wish I had it in me to read as much as you do Pulp. Damn.
Right now, the only thing I'm reading is Swamp Thing, the third book collecting the classic comics together. The second, of I think six collections, written by Alan Moore.

I recently finished reading "Duma Key" by Stephen King. Really strong effort by King.

I've GOT to get around to reading that... right now I'm reading The Approaching Storm, a book in the Star Wars series. Can't remember who wrote it right at the moment...

The Lovely Bones is great! And they're making a movie version (directed by Peter Jackson) that's supposed to be out sometime this year. Right now I'm about half way through Song of Susannah, the next to last book in the Dark Tower series.

Just finished up Murder Most Royal by Jean Plaidy tonight (I'm a sucker for almost any historical fiction about the Tudor family). Now reading Breeding Ground by Sarah Pinborough. I haven't read much by her, but I did read Tower Hill recently, and thought it was a decent read.

I've read something by Sarah Pinborough, but I can't remember what it was... I just started on Blaze by Stephen King, not bad so far.

I've read something by Sarah Pinborough, but I can't remember what it was... well, I liked Tower Hill, didn't like Breeding Ground that much (certainly gruesome enough, but some poor characterization) so the jury is still out on her. Right now I am reading Bloodline by F. Paul Wilson, LOVE the Repairman Jack books....

I think it was called The Unseen or something like that. I guess I wasn't too impressed by it since I can't remember much about it.

Yeahh...that's it! I'm still on Blaze, bout half way done, haven't had much time for reading lately. But I'm on vacation next week so maybe I'll get time to catch up.

Finishing up The Unblemished by Conrad Williams (disturbing and gruesome, recommended to any horror fans here) and also reading Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko (also very good).

The Movies of the 80s- About the only time you'll probably see me in here, this is a book Heineken sent me last month for winning last years Movie Genre game. Finally got through with it last night, and have to say, it was really good. Liked it a lot more than I thought I would, with tons of interesting stories, detailing everything from minor flops to the biggest success of the decade. Tends to give off an elitist vibe everynow and then when describing some of the smaller films of the time, but stays objective enough for the stories to matter, which makes it an easier, if challenging, read for all that it features. I think most of us on here would enjoy it and learn something new from it.
