I gotta go with CITIZEN KANE by default. Other than TOUCH OF EVIL, which I saw so long ago that I barely remember it, "...KANE" is the only one I've seen. I don't hold it in the same esteem that most of the world's critics seem to, (greatest film of all time!) but it's a good movie, and has a spot in my DVD library.

Gotta go with the Kane.
"Wait a minute... there's no cane in Citizen Kane..."

I vote for Touch Of Evil. You left out Mr. Arkadin which might be the most interesting premise in any Welles film. As an actor, I'm also an Orson Welles fan. He stole the show in the Muppet Movie.

Yeah, i did leave off Arkadin. I hadn't noticed. If i had, i would have put it instead of The Stranger. Arkadin is actually one of my favourites, one of the ones i most love watching.
My list:
1. Kane 2. Ambersons 3. Touch of Evil 4. Falstaff 5. Arkadin

Let me bare my unprofessional side: I don't like Welles much. Nothing personal really but his movies just don't hold my attention. Last month I was once more trying to get into Citizen Kane and almost fell asleep during it.
Nothing to be proud of, sure. And proud I'm not. But I really wouldn't think of Welles as genius.

I dont like to say it either, but I am not a Welles fan.
I don't underestimate the impact he made, but I personally dont enjoy his movies.
Many people do however so good for them.
Bottom line is, when I was doing some research I came across lots of said 'classics' which I didnt enjoy yet I could see why people saw them as classics, be it their bold direction etc but with Welles I just cant watch them... And I have tried (oh lord the hours wasted..)
Out of the list I have only 'seen' ;
The Stranger, Lady from Shanghai, Touch of Evil, And of course Citizen Kane.
I just dont like themor him. Simple.
