I haven't seen him(Hartnett) in much...wasn't he in Pearl Harbour? So I wouldn't be a good judge of his acting abilities. Leonardo is ok, not one of my faves though, although I think he did an excellent job in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, & I liked him in Gangs of New York.

I think Leo did a great job in The Beach and Celebrity, as well. As for Josh, yes he was in Pearl Harbor. Then he was in 40 Days, 40 Nights. And in Hollywood Homicide with Harrison Ford. Getting worse with every movie!

Strange to have the Mariachi separately AND together, but never mind.

That's just in case someone is not a fan of all three movies in the trilogy. Just because someone is a fan of EL MARIACHI doesn't mean they loved ONCE UPON A TIME IN MEXICO. (Like me.)

Getting worse with every movie! I've never seen any of those. I was gonna watch Hollywood Homicide but I heard it really sucked. So I didn't think even watching it for Harrison Ford would be worth it.

You're right. It wouldn't. Watch The Beach instead.

I HATED the Beach. If you want to see a GOOD DiCaprio performance, check out:
Romeo + Juliet, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Catch Me If You Can
Anything else I've seen him in, even if the movie WAS good, I was not impressed by his performance. Other good movies he was in, but he wasn't really good in them:
Gangs of New York, Titanic

I thought he was just as good in TITANIC and GANGS OF N.Y. as he was in CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. He was excellent in GILBERT GRAPE though. Didn't really care for THE BEACH. It was okay as a one time viewing, I didn't hate it, I just don't ever need to see it again. Same with ROMEO & JULIET.

For me The Beach is a powerful movie: a thrilling atmosphere of some dark mystery at the beginning, then a very convincing 'adventure' part in the middle, and it all spirals down into rather unpredictable areas near the end. You can feel that it's a job of the same guy who once made Trainspotting and I think it's really difficult to say DiCaprio's performance was bad there. My opinion, of course.
The only movies where Leo irritated me were the ones in Titanic (at the end especially) and The Man In The Iron Mask.

From Moviehole:
Moviehole insider 'Crazy Fox' says talks are underway that could see Robert Rodriguez rejoin his "Spy Kids 3D : Game-Over" villain Sylvester Stallone on the proposed fourth "Rambo" film.
Rodriguez is apparently interested in helming "Rambo 4". He might also play a part in penning the latest adventure.
If it comes off, "Rodriguez will go from filming the family adventure The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl to directing the latest Rambo movie with Sylvester Stallone", says our scooper.
Though there's no storyline set in stone for "Rambo 4", which Sly will produce, it apparently might be tied to terrorist union Al Qaeda. But Sly's apparently gunning for the film to be less of "Rambo 3" and more "First Blood" this time around, so that doesn't fit with that rumoured storyline, does it?
There's been a few rumoured directors for "Rambo 4" over the past year including Luc Beeson, John McTiernan and F.Gary Gray. Personally, I'd take the latest talk with a grain of salt - seems to be someone new on Sly's speed-dial every month.

My 2 bits; Leo's best performance I've seen him in (imo of course) was The Beach Rambo 4 heh? I liked First Blood & thats it. Oh, I voted for From Dusk Till Dawn. I thought it was brilliant how Robert turned a suspenseful film into a Horror film in the blink of an eye.

Like Termination, I'm really only a fan of the first Rambo movie, FIRST BLOOD, but I do find the idea of a Rambo movie directed by Rodriguez kind of intriguing. Enough so, that if it happened, I'd probably check it out.

I'm a fan of two first Rambo movies. The second one is a very guilty pleasure but also an iconic flick of my youth - I'm afraid to watch it again but will do my best to remember it fondly.
And if Rambo 4 must happen, Rodriguez may be one of the best helmers possible for the task.

LOVE the Mariachi series. I agree with the guy who talked about the growing of a legend. And then, they're all just fun movies. Sure, Once Upon A Time In The West wasn't as awesome as Desperado and El Mariachi, but it was fun, and the guitar at the beginning was awesome. And then, from a filmmaker's point-of-view, it's interesting to watch and listen (to Rodriguez's commentary, he's one of the best commentators I ever heard) because you figure out how to do things cheap and still make it look good.
I also loved his segment for Four Rooms. The Misbehavors was the best room out of all of them (including Quentin's). Finding a dead whore in the mattress and Tim Roth barfing? Nice. Or when the little girl stabs Roth in the leg, that was great, too.
"Did they misbehave?"
