Ok, often times we write something online that we just HAVE to share with someone else. This is the thread to do it in.
This is from the Pirates of the Caribbean boards at Rottentomatoes.com, discussing whether or not critics have lost their minds. I chimed in with this brilliant post:
"Hi, I AM a professional film critic, and I resent every statement made about my profession. See, it's not MY fault I have a freakishly large splintery wooden log lodged a foot up my ass. I didn't ask for it to be there. You think I LIKE that look people give me when I tell them I liked Open Water? I try not to have a Holier-than-thou attitude towards movies, but I just can't help it. I am pretentious and full of myself, and I don't feel I have to apologize for my existence."

On the Metal-Archives, I'm usually stuck in some sort of political discussion having to explain my beliefs and decisions.

Everyone wants to be a critic I guess. God forbid the whole fucking planet all agrees on 1 view.

Everyone wants to be a critic I guess. God forbid the whole fucking planet all agrees on 1 view. Then we really would be robots, right? Which makes for a very scary futuristic film....
