Is there a new computer virus going around? I ask b/c for the last week or so a thing has been popping up on my screen (it says it's from Internet Explorer) & it says that there's a virus (sometimes it says Doomsday, sometimes it says Bloodhound) and that my current anti-virus program won't catch it & that i need to download this new virus program, blah blah.... but whenever this thing pops up it freezes the browser up & I have to close everything out to get rid of it. I've ran Ad-Aware, Spyware, AVG, everything we have on here & nothing will get rid of it. It says there's no virus found...so I don't know what else to do about it. Any suggestions?

Sounds like spyware or backdoor to me. A popular disease. Sometimes these things are really hard to get rid off. So best solution for the future. From time to time you must format you Hard drive and clean it to make it like a virgin, so when you do it, after installing properly all drivers programs and stuff create a ghost either using a soft or directly from the mainframe.Having one you can clean all system in a second not wasting time for malicious ad-ware, virus, worm or any other shitty stuff like that and then in another second reinstall all what you had. It's a remedy that will become probably a must in future as the ad-ware/spyware section is so aggressive and widespread that literally no antivirus can cope with all of it.

Just rub a little ointment on it. You'll be fine. ;D

Just rub a little ointment on it. You'll be fine. ;D Yeah...I've heard that one before... ;D But seriously, whatever it was is gone now. We ran a bunch of cleaners & stuff so I guess one of them finally wiped it out. Thank God! It was very annoying.

Nice. I'm full-bloodied Italian on my dad's side, Italian and German on my mom's side. I guess that explains my horror movie preferences more than anything.

No, it explains your Fascism more than anything!!! Ha ha ha, just kidding. Full German on my Dad's side (my Great-Grandpa served in WWI for the Kaiser), and random, mostly United Kingdom, American hullaballo on my Mom's side. I prefer the German side. Yay Deutschland!!
