Final Destination 3
Let's be honest here. The only reason to see this movie is the showcasing of elaborate death scenes. That is all. The story, we've been there already. Twice. Except replace the plane/pile-up with a rollercoaster. Its redemption comes from how fun it is to watch, and I'm sure the horror fanatics on this board will love it.

The Pink Panther
You know, this wasn't half bad. It definitely doesn't hold a candle to Peter Sellers, but it has its moments in the sun. Steve Martin does a decent job, although there are times when he is guilty of overracting (see: Jim Carrey as the Grinch). Overall, not a bad movie. Very over-the-top. Kids will love it, adults will tolerate it.

Firewall
Harrison Ford is back with a vengeance, baby! The story ain't all that original, but the acting and writing definitely make up for it. I don't know if this is how I feel about the movie itself, or if I just miss watching Harrison Ford kick ass, but he does kick ass, and it feels good to watch it. This is far from classic, but it's one Hell of a time-passer.

You don't know the horror fans as well as you think you do!
I have little interest in seeing FD3. Part 2 was decent, only seen part of 1. Just typical Hollywood horror from what I see.
Hollywood's gore never looks all that great.

I, on the other hand, am all there for FD3! Loved the first one, liked the second, can't miss the third - even if it sucks all the way.
Pink Panther is a must, too, and Firewall... who knows? Will get back here after I see some of these.

I wouldn't consider either one of these movies a must. They're all fun, but far from classic.
But so far, Firewall is the best movie of February.

Panther is a must for me, a Martin fan. And you already know about me and the FD series.

I saw FD 3 today - and if you go into that movie you know what you're expecting (as said).
I enjoyed it but I am a fan of the franchise.
6/10 for me, but I'd probably tell my friends they can skip it if they didn't LOVE the first two.
Smitty didn't mention it was rated R, so nudity and gore was included (nice touch).
SPOILER BELOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seeing two nude, bitchy cheerleading types fry in a tanning bed was worth my admission price.

First one is MP material. Finally we got a horror film where you don't know how the person will die. If you did, then your physic. I liked how the original made you confindent in thinking "ohh.. I've seen this before" type attitude, than completely went the other way.

Saw The Pink Panther and laughed and laughed and laughed. Martin is great and so is the deadpan Jean Reno and the lovely Emily Mortimer; save for several misfiring jokes it's a very good comedy and a fine remake. "You said this room is sound-proof, hmm?" - ha, ha, ha! ;D
