This thread is created to place the flicks you want to recommend to assorted people not to everybody. So you believe that the flick you recommend to a particular person will be loved or at least enjoyed by him or her. It is thought to be more subjective than objective, OK. So don't fear to place flicks which seem crappy to everyone but (you guess to that person whom you recommend).
To start the ball rolling: My first recommendations:
I recommend a A Man of No Importance (1994) to Pulpmariachi.
It is a flick which I loved and enjoyed watching it. It is not an entertainment cinema, no, but we have a great British actor here- Albert Finney. The main plot is revolving around him mainly and the amateur theater he's trying to run. The action is placed in Dublin, the capital of Ireland during 60's or 50's. So there's clash between the main hero, who he is and the everyday life of Dublin in that time which is very catholic, not tolerant, two-faced and archaic. Hope you'll enjoy it Pulp.
My second recommendation is directed to Slayrrr : Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998)
Probably one of the best action flicks. The most hilarious, well-acted and entertaining and FAST as HELL.
That's all for now folks.

You're supposed to recommend movies I'd like.Don't knock it till you try it. But way more than that, I'd recommend to Q, THE GODFATHER I & II. I hear they're pretty good.

Hey man, one of these days... Godfather's on my list. Just not Titanic. I've heard enough "blah" comments from people whose opnions I trust to keep me away. We've been through this.

Actually, Spacer, I've already seen Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. Saw it as more of a comedy myself, and even still, I wasn't that impressed by it. I just don't get British flicks that much.
My recommendation for Q: The House by the Edge of the Park
Ruggero Deodato's follow-up to Cannibal Holocaust, features David Hess from LHotL and a friend crashing a snobby party and forcing them all to undergo various forms of torture. Classic Italian gore, you should really like it.
