This Christmas will be a lonely one here in Tampa. We bought our Christmas tree and decorated the place but we will be having no visitors. I ALMOST didn't even want to decorate because I thought, why bother? But that was very scrooge-ish of me and I'm glad we dolled the place up. I have the egg nog and rum ready for the big day. Wish I had some children to spoil.

Wish I had some children to spoil. The secret formula to making children: Tell yourself you're not ready for kids, then decide that you also don't need to use contraception. Tell yourself you are completely comfortable with the way things are right now and that you don't know how you'll ever live without 8 solid hours of sleep a night. Instant baby formula. You know, if you feel like it, my son could really use a 60" Sharp Aquos flat-screen TV for Christmas.... (heh heh heh)

Unfortunately, I have no tree decoration story to share with you - I think mine was more than enough for everyone. ;D And so far the cats haven't totally destroyed the tree yet. That's a small victory in itself.

Oooooh, I'm so fucking evil.
I knew my Mom went to Best Buy tonight to go Christmas shopping. I knew she took our Durango. She took her convertible to go to a holiday party with my dad. I went outside and into the car...
As of now, I have the following gifts in the bag:
MOVIES: Santa Claus Conquers The Martians The Road Warrior MUSIC: Pink Floyd, "The Wall" The Rolling Stones, "A Bigger Bang" BOOKS: None. CLOTHES: None GAMES: The Movies (Special Edition) God of War Madden '06 (my brother's, but we'll share) Die Hard Trilogy
My brother also got "Stuntman" and "King Kong," but I don't want to play them.

Hell, I watched my Mom buy Resident Evil 4 (GC) and the '33 King Kong special edition tin box DVD set.
The other thing to do is rifle through garbages going over receipts. It's what my brother and I did in our youth.

Well, today we had one of our 3 Christmases Me, wifey, baby, and Grandpa (my dad).
I got:
Minority Report 2 disk edition. Seed of Chucky unrated (so I get that full extra minute) $400 from my Dad for new tires--which I badly need. Star Wait--a documentary film on people who wait in line to watch Star Wars Episode II.
My wife got a combination toaster, egg/sausage/ham steamer to make egg muffin breakfast sandwiches in one fell swoop. Bridget Jones Edge of Reason Rudolf the Red-Nosed, asskissing reindeer and the Island of crappy, unwanted Misfit toys. (also for baby) A Hello Kitty change purse. Because my wife is a little girl.
We both got the Stewie Griffin Family Guy movie.
My baby got tons of crap, including a Little People zoo, a hamper (oooohhh fun! actually he played with this the most so far... kids.), Shark Tale DVD (bleah, I hate Will Smith), and a Playschool Transformer of an airplane.
Oh, and I got some Axe Effect shower stuff and "odoriffic" spray. And a Night of the Living Dead T-Shirt.

People frowning on the brilliant classic Kong just because of the high-tech FX. Go slap your brother, slap some sense into him!

Teaching someone a valuable lesson for thinking Kong 05 is better than Kong '33 will bring lots of Christmas cheer!

Happy Christmas time, everyone! Unfortunately, I have no tree decoration story to share with you - I'm having none, don't feel like I need it. But I couldn't avoid playing some - many, in fact - Christmas songs this week. Imagine the hatred of some of my students when instead of getting a peaceful bunch of ballads they usually get from other teachers, they had to listen to White Christmas and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town poisoned by the vocals of the mighty Paul Di'Anno. Ohh, I had fun! Those damn malicious teachers mistreating the minor. ;D
