Hey everyone, your resident total Elitist Metalhead here bringing wicked happy cheer for the holidays!! Whooo!!!
Merry X-Mas and whatnot!!
How's everyone's holiday season going??
We finally got our tree (brand new, 6-footer, $8.00 at Banks discount store) with probably about 40+ presents beneath it. At least 10 of those are DVD's--we can easily tell.
I can finally say that I've got my shopping done (unless something really catches my eye for my boy or my wife).
"Hey Kwanzaa-bot, how's it going?"
"Oh, I'm just handing out the usual Kwanzaa gift" Holds up a book called, What the Hell is Kwanzaa?? Sighs. "I've been handin' these out for 650 years..."

What? I'm sorry. I was too busy reading "My Everyday Guide to Satan" book and didn't notice this thread.
Just kidding. I try and stay a follower of God.
Merry Christmas!

That reminds me of a funny story... And all of you feel free to call me a dumb-ass after you read it. Ok, so I was decorating our tree, which I had to do all by myself b/c everyone else was at work. So I get it all done & I'm admiring my handiwork when I remember, AFTER I've nearly killed myself & two cats while trying to string the damn lights on it....that's it's a FIBER OPTIC tree that doesn't need lights in the first place. Yeah, it was one of those days.... Needless to say, I haven't heard the end of it from my family. So I told them next year they can do the tree themselves. Anyway...hope everyone has a happy and SAFE holiday!

Hello German Resident Satanist ;D
Happy Satanic Christmas to everyone who hates Christmas carols, Santa clauses, compulsively bought presents which are completely unnecessary and which are later quickly discarded or dumped somewhere and all this revolting commercial and consumption fuss.
Oh, and happy Christmas to everyone who loves that mess.

I love the presents and mess, sir!
Tis good to have a season which encourages people to be together and do unselfish things for others. Granted, buying someone else something does have it's own amount of self-gratifacation, but it's the giving and time with family that counts!
But I really need another kid. Our tree is buried in presents--most of which are for my one little boy!! I'm trying not to spoil him!!

If the tree is green and looks pretty much like a "normal" one, you may have a chance to redeem yourself... Well....it's VERY colorful, I can say that about it. Between all the lights & all the home-made ornaments that the kids have made that are on it you really can't tell there's a tree under there.

So spoil away! My niece & nephew(and brother) will be down from MN to spend christmas w/ us...they'll probably have to rent an extra car to drive home just to hold all the presents. ;D

I can let everyone know some of what I got this weekend. We're having "a very Hannakuh Christmas" this year--our X-mas is being spread around over 3 weekends. This weekend with my little boy and my Dad and step-mom. Next weekend, on actual Christmas, will be most likely just the wife, the cat and me, and on New Years, Christmas Part III with my Mom and little boy. So he'll be able to see Grandpa and Grandma (she goes by "Mom B" instead of Grandma) around Christmas.

Happy Christmas time, everyone!
Unfortunately, I have no tree decoration story to share with you - I'm having none, don't feel like I need it. But I couldn't avoid playing some - many, in fact - Christmas songs this week. Imagine the hatred of some of my students when instead of getting a peaceful bunch of ballads they usually get from other teachers, they had to listen to White Christmas and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town poisoned by the vocals of the mighty Paul Di'Anno. Ohh, I had fun!
