I've been trying to do the freelance thing for a while, but I haven't properly advertised my website. I fear my art may be too limited. I only sold one piece so far. It's supposedly going on a skateboard. I sold it for a whopping $50. Being an "artist" kinda sucks. Nobody will hire you without experience--and you can't get experience without a job! So I work a "normal" job which takes up any time I could normally use to make all kinds of arty crap!
How did you get started if you don't mind my asking? You have a website with your works on it?

I don't have my own website, but I am one of the artists listed here: goofyfaces.com/Just click on "Artists" for a bio and even a pic of my mug. I'm the third one from the top, with the shaved head. Most of the samples on that site aren't my work though. Believe it or not that's my main line of work, drawing caricatures at private parties. I also do a lot of caricatures & humorous illustrations in the studio. It really is a stupid way to make a living, but whatcha gonna do? Beats working in some factory somewhere. And it does pay pretty well. I'd really like to do more murals, and things like that though. A website of my own is something I really should do.

Here. There. Spacer asked a while back in Marcel's thread about the progress of his movie about one of the "projects" I was busying myself with. Here it is, I actually finished one of them. Hot damn. This was done by drawing little crosshatch lines back and forth at 45 degree angles over and over and over and over again until, by god, a picture was formed. It took about 7 million hours to complete. I called it "Innocence." I'm not sure why. Heineken said it's nice, I think it's better than this I would call it lust or passage rites. That it is highly Quorthonian is easily visible ;D I mean all the dark side, headbanger's devils, Scandinavian and Viking influence. The image is well done and evocative.

Yeah, me too. My stick figures come out sloppy, and I was almost held back in third grade because of my lame-ass drawing.

I'm okay at drawing. If I do draw, I draw stick figure battles.

Quorthon, brilliant, man, brilliant. It's very freaky, I bet you could write a novel based around this.
My drawing is so cartooney you can't even take it seriously, but you have some talent, guy.

...and I have no doubt he knows when he should use it, too! By the way, we all noticed you're teaching him the HISTORY of good music, not just blatantly throw him into your current area if interest - after all this is an AC/DC T-shirt he's wearing, not a Gorgoroth with reversed crosses, naked ladies and animal-faced gods. Clever.

You wouldn't believe how much that little AC/DC wifebeater costs--$14.00 as I recall. I wouldn't have bought it, but it was on sale, I got it for like 3 bucks. And I made shirts for him with Destroyer 666, Borknagar, and OverKill.
