Being a car enthusiast & movie buff I thought I'd see what everyone's favorite car movie is....meaning movies that are car-themed or movies where cars are prominently featured. This was a hard decision for me, I love every single movie on the poll (ok, well maybe except for Days of Thunder), but ultimately I had to go w/ Cannonball Run. Great movie, AWESOME car & wonderful performances all the way around. My second choice would be American Grafitti, again, great movie, performances, & lots of cool cars!

Love Jerry Bruckheimer films. Also Robert Duvall & Nicolas Cage aren't so bad actors neither + Giovanni Ribisi & a dash of Jolie ;D I choose Gone in 60 Seconds all the way! There is a scene in the film (very short) were Jolie's character gets out of a Jaguar XJ220 & I believe she makes a comment when she gets out, "God I love that car" Just over 600 of those cars were made in just one year (Doh can't remember the year) but I do remember the cost $645,000 US SRP. Anyway, can't think of one bad thing in this film.

AMERICAN GRAFITTI gets my vote. Fantastic cast of unknown, but soon-to-be famous actors, funny story, tons of great music and of course lots of awesome cars.

Gone in 60 Seconds is a guilty pleasure, so it got my vote. The cars in that movie are awesome! Love that one too, but I'm a classic muscle car fan so the T/A in Cannonball Run & the cars in American Grafitti captured my attention more than the cars in Gone in Sixty Seconds.

It is a guilty pleasure, and the last time I saw it is, like, ten years ago, but it wins thanks to being one of my first car movies. The Fast And The Furious ain't bad either, but Gone In 60 Seconds disappointed me - too unbelievable and predictable for my taste.

I have never seen Cannonball Run, will have to check it out. Honestly, I've never even heard of it. Uh-oh Phoenix, you better run...I hear the sirens now! ;D You may be facing a longer sentence since you've never even heard of it.

I looked Cannonball Run up on IMDB to see if it would help me remember but I have really NOT heard of this movie! Although I'm not a big Burt Reynolds fan.....
The plot line cracked me up though: A wide variety of eccentric competitors participate in a wild and illegal cross-country car race.
And a bizarre cast list too! Plan on renting this week for sure (hopefully that can prevent arrest?).

Yeah, not having seen it is one thing, I myself have never seen the whole movie, but to not have even heard of it? It was a huge movie. Huge enough that they made a sequel. Haven't seen any of that one. One of Burt Reynolds' last really big movies when he was the top box office draw in the world.

It was a huge movie. Huge enough that they made a sequel. There was even a much more humble quasi-Part 3 with John Candy and this, uh, you know, wife of Andre Agassi; didn't have all that much to do with the previous two parts, though. Cannonball Run is a crazy and funny but also quite patchy movie; doesn't have much of a plot and mainly relies on well-known actors making fun of themselves. It worked for me, but it certainly ain't for all tastes. Waiting for your opinion, Phoenix!

Plan on renting this week for sure (hopefully that can prevent arrest?). I'd also suggest renting Smokey & The Bandit too. It's worth it just for Jackie Gleason's performance alone. Plus another awesome car! ;D
