I haven't seen the original, but I felt this was pretty good. This definitely relies on the actors, who all do a very good job portraying their characters. The writing (story, dialogue) could have used a lot of work though, like an extensive rewrite. Direction was pretty good, I like it when a movie confuses me and keeps me guessing. Not a bad movie, but the way my friends told me it was, I expected it to be much better. I gave it a ***

I gave it ***, too. I liked how it tied everything nicely at the end - I honestly expected more clumsiness from a commercial take on a subject usually reserved for, you know, "serious filmmakers". Nice performances and a cute soundtrack help a lot, as well.
Has anyone seen it since the time the thread got missing in action?

Is it worth buying for $5? If you only plan on watching it once than yes. It is very boring. A well done boring flick. Be sure to duck-tape your eye-lids open while watching or you might miss a boring scene. ;D |
