This will work just like the other ones. If you can create a list within 5 days of your Top 15, I will combine them onto the final list to be revealed as the sci-fi one (and probably the comedy one also.)

15?? No offense, but you're kidding, right? I might be able to come up with 10. Maybe. If I think reeeaaally hard. I mean, I've seen a few, but 15?? Do these have to be out and out hardcore Martial Arts movies, meaning filmed in Asia, starring Asians, with Martial Arts being the main thing, or could someone choose a movie like say KILL BILL or THE MATRIX, which isn't a martial Arts movie per se, but does incorporate them and uses some Hong Kong film techniques, specifically the wire work or as I prefer to call it, "Wire-Fu"? Just trying to figure out what the boundaries are.

Kill Bill and Matrix work fine. Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Jet Li, Donny Yen, and any wire-fu welcome. It didn't have to be filmed in Asia either, but most Asian actors and Actresses do these type of films. But...I'll make it Top 10 instead.
TOP 10 NOT TOP 15.
Sorry, it's I like to watch a lot of martial arts films and I could pick 15.

"Sorry, it's I like to watch a lot of martial arts films and I could pick 15." Oh, I figured that. I've seen quite a few Martial Arts films, but picking 15 "quality" ones was going to be tougher for me. This will be easier now that I know the guidelines. Cheers!

Cool idea and myself I'd have no problem with combining the Top 10 (or even 15). BUT I wonder if it wouldn't be better to wait with it a bit. I mean, you can start collecting lists already but maybe let's not give deadline for it, yet. The Sci-Fi Top 15 will overlap a bit with the Comedy Top 15, so I think it would be cool if this one also overlapped with just one other Top 15 (the one for comedy, that is); having too many of them at the same time may diminish the experience, I'm afraid. Any other thoughts about it?

So what you're saying is that when the comedy films are being guessed, form the deadline there?
I think I got it.
I'll be away for the next two weeks, so if anyone could possibly have any ready by Friday morning to look over wile I'm away, it'd be helpful. I might try to stop by sometime though.

So what you're saying is that when the comedy films are being guessed, form the deadline there? The deadline could be set earlier but I think you could start revealing your movies just around the time when the comedy one will be going to a close - or right AFTER it closes. I'll send you my list soon.

I agree with Bart, Frankenjohn. Too many lists & polls going on at the same time can be a bit overwhelming. I had a hard enough time coming up with the "Comedies" list. And I'm enjoying the slow way that the "Sci-Fi" titles are being revealed. Plus, people will take the time to think of what their favorite titles are a little more if they don't feel rushed. Maybe, when the "Comedies" list is about halfway through being revealed, you can post a reminder here for people to start sending you their Martial Arts suggestions. Just a thought.

I don't watch martial arts movies much so I don't know if I could even come up w/ five, but I shall do my best.

Let's keep this thread afloat. I've already sent my list to frankenjohn but if someone thinks that choosing ten martial arts films is difficult - there's plenty of time to prepare your lists; just start thinking of the possible titles NOW!
