Seeing Matt Damon in Jay & Bob or Linda Blair in Scream was really cool but neither of these was as memorable and surprising for me as Sean Connery suddenly popping up in Prince Of Thieves.
Your choices?

I, too had to go w/ Mr. Connery. But Matt Damon would be my second choice.

As I haven't seen Prince of Thieves (I'm not Costner's biggest fan), I'm going with Matt Damon.
Don't get me wrong, I don't DISLIKE Costner. In fact, I loved Open Range, and am seriously making an effort to see Dances With Wolves. I just like a Robin Hood who can speak with an English accent... I thank you... But that's a topic for another thread.
Back to Matt Damon. You gotta love that Good Will Hunting II scene... Of course, Ben Affleck was probably the better performance in the scene; they gave him all the one-liners. But it was nice to see Will Hunting pull out a shotgun and utter, "It's hunting season."

That's one of my favorite scenes in the whole movie. ;D I voted for RH b/c of the suprise factor. I was totally taken off guard when Connery showed up in RH but I wasn't really that suprised to see Matt show up in J&SBSB.

Oh, shoot. Didn't notice the "Other". John Turturro in the Big Lebowski. Nobody fucks with the Jesus.

But in all honesty - Ben Affleck was annoying to me in this scene. I liked him in the -I'm-not-Ben-Affleck role in this movie but here, playing himself, he went much too OTT for my taste. And when I saw the gag reel on DVD, I couldn't understand why Damon can't stop laughing during this scene.

I chose other. Does Dustin Hoffman "appearing" on THE SIMPSONS count?

If he wasn't in the credits - then yes. Haven't seen him there, sadly.

I'll go with Sean Connery in ROBIN HOOD. That was a nice unexpected surprise.

Yup. And the movie itself ain't bad. You should give it a try, Smitty.

I agree about the accent. I just have to laugh every time I watch it. But you can't beat Alan Rickman as the sheriff.
