IGN Film Force did a salute to Morgan in honor of his 67 b-day & showcased some of his films. The poll choices came from their list. I voted for 'Glory', although 'Seven' & 'Shawshank' were close behind.

"Unforgiven", but barely.

So what would be your second choice since 'Unforgiven' is barely?

So what would be your second choice since 'Unforgiven' is barely? Well, most of his above roles are great. "Shawshank" or "Se7en" would be the immediately runners-up, but I have no real complaints with any of his performances.

It's Se7en for me. The second choice would be Unforgiven but as Leo said - it's difficult to be dissatisfied with anything he did.

I agree, I don't think I've ever seen a Freeman performance that I didn't like.

Speaking of his performances/roles...does anyone else remember him from the children's tv show 'The Electric Company'?

Another one of his I quite liked was "The Sum of All Fears". I know that the film isn't all that popular, but I liked it a good bit, and Freeman was great in it.

Haven't seen The Sum yet. I heard it's a bit too over the top to be thrilling - is that true?

Haven't seen The Sum yet. I heard it's a bit too over the top to be thrilling - is that true? Well, it depends how you look at it. Personally, I would've prefered if the bad guys had stayed Muslims and not neo-Nazis, and some scenes where a bit over-the-top, but on the whole it was (IMO) a good movie. Freeman's death scene was WAY too cliche though. But the supporting cast was great, particularly Freeman, James Cromwell (the US President) and Ciaran Hinds (the Russian president). And Ben Affleck was tolerable.

Put me down for SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION with GLORY a close second. But you guys are right, he's an excellent actor and can make almost any movie watchable.

I also really like the character (Alex Cross) he played in "Kiss The Girls" & "Along Came A Spider".

You're right, I liked the second one better too. I'd love to read the books they are based on, but my 'must read' list is a mile long already.

I went with the Shawshank Redemption for obvious reasons. ;D
