Someone have a voice that just makes you melt whenever you hear it? Or just a great distinctive voice you recognize immediately? Tell us about it here.
Don't ask me how I came up w/ this thread...I guess I'm just bored tonight...anyway, my picks are:
1. Michael Madsen(this one shouldn't be a suprise ;D) 2. Sean Connery 3. James Earl Jones 4. Tommy Lee Jones 5. Sully(Godsmack) 6. Chris Cornell(Soundgarden/Audioslave) 7. Eddie Vedder(Pearl Jam) 8. Steve Buscemi 9. Marlon Brando 10. James Gandolfini

I think Adam Sandler should be added there - now that's a distinctive voice the boy has! ;D
And seriously: it's difficult to come up with Top Ten off the bat... But apart from agreeing with your choices (except for Sully, as I'm no Godsmack expert), I would certainly vote for Christopher Lee as far as actors go, and for Alice Cooper as far as vocalists go. By the way: a new Rhapsody (an Italian 'epic metal' band) album is going to feature vocals from... no, not Alice - Christopher Lee!

Yeah, Sandler does have a distinctive voice, but a little annoying to me after awhile. I agree w/ everyone's choices. Ok Bart, you don't have to come up w/ ten, that's just what I came up w/ last nite. Wow! vocals by Christopher Lee? Pretty sweet. Is it gonna be spoken word, like say, Vincent Price did on "Thriller"? I would also add Lance Henriksen & Tim Curry to my list. Tim's voice is just to die for.

My husband!
He has a great voice, and I call him from work sometimes just to hear his voice, even if I know I'll get the recording.
As far as actors/actresses go, I'd like to add:
Robert Deniro Val Kilmer Humphrey Bogart Lauren Bacall Geena Davis Angela Bassett
All very sexy voices!

A couple of great ones missing...
Richard Burton - Everything he read...a fucking phone book even...sounds just wonderful.
Michael Wincott - Sinister, sexy and dark.

You know, just to compare if it's really a match for Carradine, Nicholson and De Niro? There's no choice you guys made I can disagree with, but Richard Burton must be repeated again: so damn good, so damn underrated! And Christopher Lee - from what I've read - actually SINGS on this Rhapsody mini-album. How cool is that?

If you want to hear a great bit of Chris Lee booming voice singing check out (and you should check this out anyway) the restored soundtrack CD to "The Wicker Man"...his saucy duet with the school teacher is bags of naughty fun. You can really see why Lee liked this film and character...SOOOO different from what he was normally given.
