"Missing from that list:
Jesus Quintana, from "The Big Lebowski" (Although the Dude is on there, I believe) The Dude is #55.
Han Solo, from "Star Wars" Han didn't make it, but Darth Vader was #84.
Any character played by Mike Myers, "Austin Powers" Dr. Evil is #35.
Vincent Vega, "Pulp Fiction" Jules Winnfield was #44."
I think because there are so many potentials, they were trying to limit it to not more than one character from a movie. I saw this article in PREMIERE as well and almost started a thread about it. I think out of the top twenty, my favorite would have to be Indiana Jones.
Who's everybody's favorite in the top twenty?

Somehow they missed Tuco from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, yet they mentioned Joe (Blondie).
Also missing were Renfield (Dwight Frye), Dr. Pretorious (Ernest Thiseiger), Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive), and Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.) from the Universal Camp.
Cushing's Van Helsing and Lee's Dracula from Hammer.
Vincent Price's character in the House on Haunted Hill.
John Wayne as Rooster Cogburn.
Ian McKellan as James Whale.
Those are the ones that immediately come to mind anyway.

Who's everybody's favorite in the top twenty? Mine would be Indiana Jones. But James Bond is just behind him.

Mine would have to be the good ol' Godfather. Followed by Scarlett O'Hara & Hannibal.
My additions to the list would be:
Verbal Kint(Usual Suspects) Han Solo Jay & Silent Bob(as Smitty mentioned) Severin(Bill Paxton, Near Dark) Denzel Washington's character from Glory...can't think of the name right now. Vic Vega(I think Smitty mentioned him too...) Stiffler(American Pie) Rhett Butler(GWTW)
Those are just off the top of my head.

"Don't you mean "sick" minds?? " Yeah, that would probably be a more appropriate description.

Add on to the list:
Achilles and Hector, from Troy (Just saw it tonight. It's an excellent movie)
Jesus of Nazareth, from the Passion of the Christ (Caviezel's performance is too good to go without mentioning)
John McClane, from Die Hard
The Metatron, from Dogma
Gretchen Wieners, Janis Ian, and Mr. Duvall from Mean Girls... Ok, not really the best of all time, but worth mentioning.
Happy Gilmore, from Happy Gilmore
Willie and Marcus, possibly Bob Chipeska, from Bad Santa
Enid, from Ghost World
I assume Sgt. Hartman from Full Metal Jacket is on the list... If not, he should be.
Phil Connors, from Groundhog Day

"John McClane, from Die Hard"
Great character! Even though I've never been a big Bruce Willis fan.
I would also add "Hans" (Alan Rickman) from Die Hard. One of THE best villians ever imo.
