Well, lucky you who's been waiting all this time will see the first set of RECOMMENDATIONS!!!
MOVIE: "Airplane II: The Sequel"
I recommend this movies because I laughed so much during this film. The jokes fly at you left and right. You really can't compare it to the first one because that was just OUTSTANDING. Still, fans of the first shouldn't be dissapointed at this film. It is a zany, hilarious riot.
GAME: "James Bond 007: Everything Or Nothing"
Well, you go to the games store and see this on the shelf and think "Hey, new Bond! I can't wait to be Bond again, shootin' up baddies, all in first-person glory... Well...YOU'RE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The game was constructed using the same mode as Tomorrow Never Dies...third-person. WAIT!!! Give it a chance. It has sweet graphics, a nice plot, good weapons and gadgets...and Bond...James Bond. The price might still be high (I can't believe $50 for a game and $20 for a DVD. What is our economy coming to? And if you're somewhere else, this might cost you a fortune also.), so I'd wait till the price goes down (I didn't even buy it! ;D). Just rent it in the meantime and have a Bonderffic (corny, eh?) day.
There's the first update. You can now leave feedback and wait impatiently for next week's update.

When I first saw Airplane II: The Sequel (translated as 'Don't worry, that's just a minor damage' in Polish!; the first movie was 'Is the pilot flying with us?'...) I thought it was better than the first part. Several months ago I refreshed my memories of both movies, and I think it's the other way round: the first one is a laugh-packed classic, the sequel a very good - but inferior - come back to the subject. I prefer the Airplane movies to the Naked Gun movies, in fact. Oh, and the DVD commentaries are worth listening to as well!

Set the 2nd:
MOVIE: "The Curse Of Frankenstein"
As Christopher Lee had his fang-tastic role in Horror of Dracula, this is where I think Cushing is at his finest. His performance as the Baron was outrageous in the emotion he used in the film. Of course Christopher Lee had an okay role in the film but he didn't speak. Frankenstein was just so evil in the film that it was just plain creepy. The gothic atmosphere helped, too.
GAME: "Final Fantasy VII"
May I start off in this review that Final Fantasy VII is quite possibly the best game ever made. It has an engaging storyline, great characters, beautiful scenery, plenty of "F" to go around acompanied by others, etc. The game spans 3 discs of almost every single genre: fantasy, action, drama, romance, comedy, war, etc. Notice I keep saying etc because the game is everything you need in a game.

The game spans 3 discs of almost every single genre: fantasy, action, drama, romance, comedy, war, etc. But no horror there, huh? The Curse Of Frankenstein I haven't seen and I'm quite ashamed of it. Sadly, those classic horror movies aren't available for rental in Poland, and I'm not committed enough to buy'em.

Movies:
1. Pulp Fiction (1994): Tarantino's best movie, beautifully directed, real film-noirish. I find something new every time I see it.
2. The Passion of the Christ (2004): The most gripping, powerful, brutal movie I've ever seen. Only if you're religious, though.
3. The Lord of the Rings (2001-2003): One of the greatest adaptations ever.
4. Dogma (1999): It brings up some very good points about religion.
5. Clerks. (1994): One of the greatest screenplays I've ever seen. Kevin Smith is a genius.
6. Shichinin no samurai (Seven Samurai) (1954): Akira Kurosawa is the Japanese Kubrick. This was an excellent movie.
7. Blade Runner (1982): A crazy sci-fi, still being discussed to this very day.
8. Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980): The best of the series, and the darkest.
9. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988): The most imaginative movie I've ever seen.
10. Casablanca (1942): Nuff said.
Games:
1. Final Fantasy - The entire series: This is a series one can get used to. Without a doubt, the greatest RPG franchise in the history of gaming.
2. Grand Theft Auto - The entire series: A film-noir video game series. I love it.
3. Resident Evil - The entire series, except for Survivor: Once you get used to the controls, this is a gripping survival horror game. Don't play survivor though, that one sucks.
4. Kingdom Hearts: Don't be warded off by the Disney characters, this is a beautiful game.

Whoa - quite a post, IamTheSmitty! And all very good choices! Except for Seven Samurai, I saw'em all and loved almost each one of them! Pulp Fiction belongs to my favourite movies, and I too find new stuff in it every time I watch it!
It also seems like you're going to have lots to say in the Kevin Smith and Star Wars threads here on the board! Waiting for it!

Update The Third:
MOVIE: And Now For Something Completely Different
A first off warning that this film has no plot whatsoever. Every time Cleese appears on screen and says "And now for something completely different.", forget about the last skit you saw. REVIEW START: Okay, this is a Monty Python film, containing the the best skits from their "Flying Circus" show. So its just [hilarious] skits from the show. My favorite skits (top 3) are: 1. How Not To Be Seen 2. The Pet Shop/Lumberjack Song 3. Job Interview/Blackmail I highly recommend this film to anyone who loves Monty Python.
GAME: Wakeboarding with Shawn Murray
This game would've been called Shawn Murray's Pro Wakeboarding, but Activision wanted to break from that titular chain. It's a fun game with a whole new scenario, like grinding boats n' stuff like that. If you don't like wakeboarding, I still suggest you try this game.

I love Monty Python and enjoyed their Completely Different collection quite a lot! Lumberjack Song kills me anytime I see it (listening ain't enough as Michael Palin's face expression plays too important a part in it!), but I wonder about the Job Interview/Blackmail thing... which one is it, frankenjohn? Some more details would be welcome, I can't think of anything that fits, and don't remember this film all that well.

Scary! We like the same movies - almost exactly!!! Adaptation? Love it so much! The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded but not Revolutions? So very true! The Big Lebowski? The Kev Smith movies? All the Tarantino stuff! All my favourites as well! And you're one more person to remind me I should go watch Dr Strangelove finally!

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Matrix Revolutions, but it had neither the technical achievements of the original nor the intriguing story of the second one. And they could have come up with a better ending than that. The fight scene with Agent Smith, though, was awesome.

You haven't seen Seven Samurai? Go rent it or something, that movie is great! Yeah, I agree. Go rent SEVEN SAMURAI today. Excellent movie! Glad to hear you're finally going to rent DR. STRANGELOVE too. Good lists, Smitty. A lot of variety there. And several "must see's". Much like my DVD collection. Cheers!
