That's a thread where we can talk about our favourite internet sites - and tell the others why they're so damn cool! I'd like to start with... [shadow=red,left,300]Video Graveyard[/shadow] That's in fact one of the first horror sites I've encountered when I got connected to the internet and I still think it's one of the best, too! Lots of reviews (not only of movies but also CD's and games), some good interviews (with James Gunn, David DeCoteau among others) and all prepared in a very nice, humorous way. Here's the address to check VidGrave out: www.thevideograveyard.com/index.htmlThere's also a horror-related message board connected with the site and I advise you to visit it even if you know nothing at all about horror movies! Really - the avatar our own Father Red sports there is worth the travel alone! ;D Here's a link you should follow to take a look at it: vidgrave.proboards19.com/index.cgi

Great choice. Another one of my favorites: ROTTEN TOMATOESOn Rotten Tomatoes, you can see what critics say on movies and games. It sometimes is helpful when if you're stuck between getting a movie because you heard mixed reviews. It's helped me make decisions a lot. I sometimes don't agree with the critics, but most of the time I do. www.rottentomatoes.com

I agree with Frankenjohn. Rotten Tomatoes is a good one for when I'm undecided about whether to check out a certain movie or not. Aint it Cool News used to be a pretty good one, but most of their forums tend to degenerate into all out "flame wars". I still go over there from time to time to check out the movie rumours & scoops, but I stopped posting a while ago. rebelscum.com is one of the best if you're a STAR WARS fan & collector.

Agree with your choices, guys! www.rottentomatoes.com is very useful 'cause it always gives you a whole bunch of reviews on each movie you want to check out; even the most smelly trash gets some praise there and I always like that! I used to love www.aintitcoolnews.com too, and I still like some of their reviews and the way they update their news so often, but Heineken's right about their forums - bloody battlefields they are! www.rebelscum.com looks interesting as well - I'm just checking it out right now. However, the new addition to this thread this time is... [shadow=red,left,300]BeardyFreak's Horror Reviews[/shadow] which is one of the most informed, professional and user-friendly sites with such reviews I've encountered so far! Plus - you can feel the author's love for the genre in each piece he wrote there. I truly hope for Beardy joining our boards some time in future but including his site here is in no way a bribe - just take a look at how good his reviews are and you'll know I'm right! All you have to do is go here: www.beardyfreak.comEnjoy!

Another site finds its place in our Hall Of Internet Fame, and it's... [glow=red,2,300]DVD Review[/glow] I'd be a real bastard if I decided to not include it here: after all that's the place I grew up in! After I got tired of the pointless and fiery forums at aintitcoolnews, I heard about the dvdreview boards (ahh, I think I should not hesitate thanking you again, Heineken ) and joined them with pleasure. What a change! Finally discussions that actually were making sense instead of just wars! Many cool people there, lots of valuable you-heard-it-there-first DVD news. Also, it's not just the forums and not just the news: after several months I came to discover they have good interviews there, too! Check out Robert Englund, David Fincher, John Landis, Michelle Yeoh or the newest one with Eli Roth, and I bet you'll be as hooked as myself! To get to the place use this link: www.dvdreview.com

I agree with you about their boards. I think DVDReview is more adult than the AICN forums, however, if you really want to talk to those people about movies, you have to do it in the IRC. The channel is hidden, but you can either go through java on their site or in an IRC program it's channel #aintitcool.com (not a huge secret, but you won't find it searching the IRC websites). It's on the server chat-solutions.org and one of my friends from there has his own channel called #lynchwhores dedicated to David Lynch fans, and a blog to go with it with David Lynch assignments (like homework, it's fun though).
Now I have to advertise my own site. I joined matrixmania when I needed to talk about the Matrix to get it out of my system in October of 2003. Now I'm running it, somehow I became administrator when a war broke out between Matrixmania and another forum created by one of our moderators. But as far as I've seen, it's the best forum for talking about the Matrix and it has a member base of about 13,000, although we don't have that many people posting, it's still pretty active. So if you have any matrix-related questions, ask me or ask on that site, it's in my opinion the best forum for matrix related stuff. And I have joined a lot of matrix forums, and there was always something I didn't like about the others...

Sounds like The Matrix itself ;D Welcome to our boards, Valasher! I've already been to www.matrixmania.com several times and I must say it's a huge place for Matrix fans: and literally so! So many topics and different sections that you could die happy getting through just one third of them! Anyone who feels the need of knowing more about the Matrix movies, animes, games or anything connected with the idea - I think it's guaranteed you'll find it there!
