Just yesterday I was thinking of renting this CD, but took the newest Stratovarius ('Elements Pt.2') and Phillip Glass' soundtrack for 'Mishima' instead. So, is this BLS any good?

Yeah, well, I think so anyway. It's Zakk Wylde so what can I say?

Right now it's Annihilator's new album - 'All For You'. VERY good stuff! The new vocalist is just perfect!

If it's Monday the 14th, I'm listening to Acid Drinkers' cool new album 'Rock Is Not Enough' (notice the Bond joke there?... yes, that's it!).

Three good albums I hunted down within last two days:
Iron Maiden 'Best Of The B'Sides' - finally found it available without the rest of the box set!
Therapy? 'High Anxiety' - lots of energy, funny lyrics and those damn catchy melodies!
Black Label Society 'The Blessed Hellride' - need to listen a bit more to it; but it's at least good.

Currently listening to "CONTRABAND", the first release by Velvet Revolver. This is the band made up of Scott Weilend, former lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots, and members of Guns N' Roses, including Slash. Even though I'm a fan of both former bands, I wasn't sure if this combination would work, but am happy to say that I think it does. This new band barely sounds like either of the two former. Only once in a while do I get a hint of STP, to be expected I guess with Weilend singing, but it doesn't sound like G N' R at all. Thumbs up!

Finally decided to listen to Hellride Bart? ;D You know I have a history of trying to get hold of "Hellride" - and here it is, finally. Funny thing, Ozzy sings on one track only, but Zakk himself sings just like Ozzy on several others - I never thought he they can be so similar! And Velvet Revolver - so far, I only know one of their songs and it sounds interesting indeed. But I guess I need to listen to more of them before I go and buy the album.

I still hope to be soon getting the Velvet Revolver CD. For now I'm listening to an "oldie": Metallica's "St. Anger". And I still think it's not bad.

'St. Anger' is considered an oldie already? Or you're just referring to Metallica as 'oldies'? Last thing I listened to: Pearl Jam live: MSG 2...also watched the bootleg vid of the concert. Good stuff!

'St. Anger' is considered an oldie already? Just a quotation marks oldie. I also watched the "St. Anger Rehearsals" DVD for the first time - much better than I thought. But the animal moves of Mr. Trujillo annoy me as they always did.

Currently listening to No Doubt: Singles 1992-2003. Its a nice compilation of songs from their album's but I am surprised Rock Steady wasn't included as a track. Its Gwen's favorite song off the Rock Steady album too.
