"Rillington" is very good. Not really a horror film..but a bleak crime drama. wonderful turn by Sir Dicky! He's really slimey! I liked it a lot more on 2nd viewing (years after the first).

Cop Land - yes, a very good one! Gotta get it, too, some time from now!
And how's this Judas Priest DVD, Heineken? These are videos, right? Or videos plus a concert?

And how's this Judas Priest DVD, Heineken? These are videos, right? Or videos plus a concert? All of their music videos, the 1986 "Priest...Live!" home video (19 songs performed live in Dallas, TX) & 7 BBC performances.

Sounds better than I thought. Their videos aren't very good but 'Priest...Live!' - now, that's something!

An ultra cheap triple feature of "A Shriek in the Night"/"The World Gone Mad" (but we are not bothered in them...they just happen to be there) and the reason i got it..."MANIAC"!!
Dwain Esper's 1930's flick that gave us 1960's Grindhouse craziness 30 years early! A true classic of the Exploitation genre that was the blueprint for the craziness to come!

YES!!!! Just received my 5 disc, 20 episode DVD set of the excellent "Crime Story" TV show with my main man Dennis Farina in top kick ass, hard boiled form! It includes the essential Abel Ferrara directed 'Pilot' as well! Great TV! All hail 'Anchor Bay'!

It includes the essential Abel Ferrara directed 'Pilot' as well! Great TV! Ferrara directed it? That's news to me... It didn't feel as rough as his other movies, did it?

Nope, but it was TV...he lso directed quite a few "Miami Vice" episodes as well.
he still like to film the wet streets, cars, neon and strett lights the same though. That love for the Big City shines through..and the anti-hero/light and dark characters are there.
Great looking transfer as well! And this ends where the series should have ended...the 2nd season went down hill and had a truly lame finale. The end to season 1 is not completely satisfying...but it's okay and ultmately does the job. So i won't be getting the next box set.

"In A Glass Cage" dropped through my letter box today! Hoping to watch it tonight. It's meant to be a really disturbing movie... Tell us if it lives up to the legend, will you, 42nd? Myself I got THE most controversial amazon shipment in my DVD-collecting career: King Solomon's Mines Allan Quatermain And The Lost City Of God House Of Clocks Sweet House Of Horrors The first two I saw long time ago and loved them - so please don't tell me Quatermain is 'poor man's Indiana Jones' - Indy never did this railway thing, did he?

I just saw on IMDb last night that there's a TV movie remake of King Solomon's Mines being made with.................. PATRICK SWAYZE starring as Quatermain.
