Cool, I'll have to watch it then. I bet it would be next to impossible to find a copy of the old tv version, it would be nice if I could though. Are you talking about Helter Skelter that was made for tv with Steve Railsback in it as Charles Manson? If so then that is the dvd that I just bought last weekend. It has all the cut out scenes added to it that were not shown on tv like there is some nudity and more bloody scenes in it. It's a great film.I bought my dvd at Best Buy and you cane find it at any Best Buy store or Media Play store.

I saw the commercials for the NEW tv version that's coming out & that's what reminded me of it. Sounds like the DVD is worth picking up. I'll have to check it out. Thanx for the info!

I got Scary Movie 1 and 3. Very clever of you to skip part 2, frankenjohn. And Don't Look Now - I'm thinking of getting this one, too. Can you believe I haven't even seen it yet?

Well, the special was buy 3 and get 1 or 2 for $7.99. So I said "Why not start with the first?"

A dupe of the Japanese version of "Kill Bill" - The "Leaves" fight in full colour is a thing to behold!
"A Bridge Too Far" - Superb film, on a very nice 2 disc set packed with goodies. And the R3 release is half the price of the other versions.

Good, but strange. You know, I don't own a single Disney movie & I grew up watching the stuff.

Why don't you lend me your credit card so I can go out & get caught up on my DVD buying? ;D Well, if it was that easy, I'd ask Donald Trump to loan me his. You know, I don't own a single Disney movie & I grew up watching the stuff. Well, I believe in having a well balanced DVD collection. A little from column A, a little from column B... never know what I'll be in the mood to watch.

But all the other choices are reasonable: Disney 'for the kids', Enter The Dragon and The Great Escape for beer nights with friends, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly and Wyatt Earp for beer nights alone... hey, there's nothing for a romantic evening, Heineken! ;D And as for 42nd's choice: I liked the scene in question when it was in black'n'white and didn't really feel the need to have colours there (the colour red, mainly); is it so much better indeed?

Well, it's more fun...and seems less compromised. I know QT wrote it in B/W in the script (and it was a method used in a few old 'Shaw Bros' films like the finale to "Heroes Two"..But i never liked it then either) but was that 'art' or a knowing that it may have censor trouble? To see the wonderfully over the top blood sprays in their crimson glory is a hoot..Simple as that really. A hoot!

Today, I got a free DVD in the mail. Does that count? Since it was free, and the selection was very limited, I got KANGAROO JACK for my kid. He thought it was hilarious, as only a pre teen can.
