OK, yeah, agree: Stifler was funny even there. Eating the 'chocolate', pretending he's a nice boy - he outshined everybody in American Wedding. Even Eugene Levy. Which pissed me off pretty bad, to be honest.

I can understand all your choices, RIP, except for American Wedding! I only bought it cause I havdn't seen it before and I was drunk when I bought it, lol. ;D I bought 3 more dvds when I was at the grocery store: Adventures of Ford Fairlane Godzilla - starring Matthew Broderick. Jaws 4: The Revenge - I know this movie sucks but I have the first 2 on dvd so I bought it now I onlt need to get part 3 on dvd whenever it comes out to complete the series.

"KING...OF...NEW...YORK"! Great 2 disc set for Abel Ferrara's masterwork. Essential to have this, "Bad Lt" and "Ms.45" in your collections imho...Just divine. Ferrara is one of the few Director's around today that makes Grindhouse orientated films, designed for cinema release, in style, and/or budget and/or techincally..Even big budget films in his hands play like they crawled out of the local flea-pit, hungover, tripping, with crotch itch and a hard-on.

Adventures Of Ford Farlaine: guilty pleasure of my youth, but I'm not sure if I'd still like it as much today;
Jaws 4: The Revenge: I like it more than Jaws 3, to be honest; for some strange reason I have fun watching Michael Caine earning money the easy way;
Godzilla: before it all gets 'too big' it's not all bad; also Jean Reno helps a bit as a French soldier pretending to be American;
King Of New York: yes, I liked this one, but I'm not a fan of Abel Ferrara (however, it's true what you wrote about him, 42nd: 'Even big budget films in his hands play like they crawled out of the local flea-pit, hungover, tripping, with crotch itch and a hard-on'); Bad Lieutenant had its moments but generally it bored me.

.An ultra cheap DVD of "House on Sorrority Row"..Not seen this sucker for years, not since old TV screenings. It was cheap, so i thought I'd relive some old memories
OOH...I understand where you come from on Ferrara 9esp recently), he does do some pretty borring films...But i have to say that "China Girl", "King", "MS.45", "Bad Lt" and even "Driller Killer" for at least half of it's running time overcome this boredom factor.

I picked up THE LAST SAMURAI today. Yes, I know it's basically a knockoff of GLORY meets DANCES WITH WOLVES. But I liked it anyway. Cruise was good. Ken Wattanabe was great! The swordplay and fight choreography were well done. And Samurai costumes are always cool! As an added bonus, this flicks got Ninjas! Ninjas fighting Samurai!! How cool is that?? So cool, this was a must buy for me! ;D

Damn, I still haven't seen The Last Samurai!
And 42nd? How good is Ferrara's The Funeral? That's a movie I decided not to rent about a dozen times, but it always seems to be tempting me from the shelf when there's nothing new to take.

"The Funeral" is okay...It's really just a low key drama/character piece. Worth a watch though, esp for the cast, Penn, Walken, Gallo.
It was made back to back with his bizarre vampire movie "The Addiction", which is a film with some good moments (like the excellent party scenes) but overall rather too pretentious for it's own good...And Wlaken is wasted.

Thanks, 42nd! Maybe I'll finally rent it.
Haven't seen The Addiction but this one's nowhere around to rent.

Is that the Charles Manson Helter Skelter, or a horror movie w/ the same name? I remember seeing a Charles Manson one a looooong time ago. They're doing a tv version, I think it's on here sometime this week.

"Helter Skelter" is an old TV film starring Steve railsback, it supposed to be very good. There is another, earlier (still as the trial was going on) cinema version called "The Helter Skelter murders" (which I have and have yet to watch) which is less well thought of.
