"Christine" SE...Very nice, but why no 5:1 mix!!!?? Sony didn't remix the sound for 5.1 because the original sound elements were not available.

Sony didn't remix the sound for 5.1 because the original sound elements were not available. Well there you go thern. Also it has to be said that 'Christine's' red paint is looking rather orange as well!! Hmmm....... Bad colour timing methinks!

"Escape 2000" (Anchor Bay)...After only seeing the cut UK version many years ago....I'm looking forward to this! I love this one! Saw it uncut in my teens and was deeply shocked! That was the first truly brutal movie in my life, and it's probably responsible for pushing me towards the horror genre. Just a shame that the director of it - Brian Trenchard-Smith - is doing Megiddos these times.

Prety good extras. 20 deleted scenes (fuck me! Studios obviously have money to flush away!!!! Ever heard of SCRIPT editing guys!!?), makinfg of and a JC/Actor commentary track.
'Christine' still looks bloody orange tinted though!

Christine: Special Edition specs; /me 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen/me English and French Dolby Surround/me Spanish and Portuguese Mono/me English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Thai subtitles/me Audio commentary with director John Carpenter and star Keith Gordon/me Filmographies/me 20 Deleted and Alternate scenes/me 3 exclusive new featurettes/me Previews: Asylum of the Damned, Hellboy, Secret Window, Kingdom HospitalQuote from dvdmoviecentral; I have not seen the special edition (lint in pockets ), but it seems the only change to the transfer is the dual layer aspect, other than that nothing. I've read elsewhere there is a lot of grain in the nighttime shots. Other than this video review, I'm led to believe that there is no enhancement at all & Sony just re-released the same transfer, only this time, they added more features & gave the disc another layer. Either way, when the lint clears from my pockets ;D, I want to add this title to my collection.

I also went to Best Buy and got the Ren & Stimpy w/ bonus disc. You had to be really careful though because there were sets on the shelf without the bonus disc mixed in. Almost picked up the wrong one!

I fell off the dvd wagon & picked up; Than I quickly chased down the wagon & got back on. Awesome movie btw!! I bet you'd never guess what CGI effect I was most impressed with in the film.
