This is Dario Argento's latest I'm talking about here, of course: a nice and occasionally tense tribute to Hitch, it mostly focuses on Rear Window as a young man is a witness to a murder in an apartment opposite. The acting is surprisingly strong - I usually have problems with Italian overacting - and the music of Pino Donaggio fits perfectly making it one of Argento's better films.

Ahh, man. I thought you were talking about THE Hitchcock. I was just preparing to go off on a wild praise of him.
Is it Hithcockian "Rear Window" or Simpsons-"Rear Window"?

I've been hearing good things about it, Bart, about it being a return to form for the master. Doesn't get released here for a couple weeks, I think, so it ll be something I'll keep my eye on.

Yeah, it's a very good film, slayrrr - a treat for both Hitchcock and Argento fans with a really tense ending on a roof of a house.
You, Pulp, should check it out, too!

Ok, I've got a release date for this one in the US: AUgust 15. Direct-to-DVD for sure, but beyond that, nothing else. No features or cover art at the time, but we got the date.

It's the name of a movie, not a thread about the director. It's in the first post that it's about a movie.

Seen this, and really, I wasn't a fan. No kills, just a lot of boredom spread throughout masquerading as a mystery/thriller, which isn't something that appeals to me. And not really being a fan of Hitchcock through lack of exposure as well as interest (his best stuff has been merely 'decent' in my book) so being a great tribute to something that means nothing to me doesn't make me fall for anything. If you're into thrillers, I'd say give it a go, but I want a return to Tenebre style and content next time with Giallo. More than 1 kill, Dario!!!!
