On The 20th of September, MGM is releasing a bunch of new horror films. On of these titles is "The House Where Evil Dwells." I was looking at the box art on Amazon and I noticed the Japanese writing and the tagline: "It never forgives...or forgets." Does this have the slightest connection to "The Grudge/Ju-On?"

No connection whatsoever. Just another case of blatant disguising an old film as a brother of a modern hit.

I think the last truly original film we got was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. This years is pretty terrible when it comes to originality. For shame, Hollywood!!

Correct, the only connection this film has to The Grudge films is that it's set in Japan and features ghosts. That's about it, so it's not connected at all.
